Good morning. Cool and windy today but supposed to be warmer tomorrow when it's daylight savings time. Local news this morning, Surprise, Democrats took over the state and the taxes go up. The headline says 5 cents a gal but the article says doubles the tax from 16 t0 32 cents and includes an automatic future increase for inflation. Damn, Ralph was just bragging on the increased state revenues from the Trump economy last week. Now they need more money. I hate Democrats. I'll deduct my increased expense from the money I usually give to charities. Charity begins at home and ends there this year. shoredailynews.com/headlines/gas-taxes-to-increase-by-5-cents-a-gallon/Happy Saturday

Bruce, I'm a Democrat, I hope you don't hate me. My wife would say don't attack the person, attack what they've done. She's a psychologist and was trained to say 'I hate the taxes and the spend thrift way of the ungodly Democrats.' not 'I hate the ungodly Democrats.' Had a great night at the open mic last night. Played a few on my own and 2 fun collaborations with a friend, unrehearsed. Went surprisingly well.

Good morning. It should be mild here. I'll go to a short meeting at 11:30 and then assemble dinner for a couple of friends who'll be joining us this evening. Enjoy your day.

An exciting day of doing laundry and cleaning the house. I did get to the grocery store and washed the car yesterday while Mr. H was doing the dreaded feature update on my computer. Another 80ish day here in Tucson and then cooler and possible showers tomorrow. We have reservations for a fancy Sunday brunch. Glad that we specified indoor seating.

Wife made it to Dubai and is waiting for her flight. Probably another 4 or 5 hours.
Spring is busting out here. Going to try to finish cleaning the house, but once my sweetie's down it's time to start to try to keep up with yard work. Which is always insane here in Virginia.
Y'all have good ones.

I'm being taken to lunch by an old family friend in about a half hour. A rare occurrence, but one I shall enjoy. I wonder what I want for lunch...

I went to lunch with Kevin the other day.
"You heard of this guy?" and with that, he handed me his phone -- a video of Billy Strings playing on it.
"Yeah. He's great." I said.
"You wanna go see him? ...he's coming to Fort Wayne."

We are just puttering around this weekend, waiting for Rachel to go into labor. Her due date is tomorrow. I’m ready for grandson #2!

I have lost my identity, locally. If you include Bear, Sadie, Aspen, Blitz, Ariel, and Breeze, I've run with a malamute by my side through the trails and on the streets of town for over 35 years. The townsfolk literally don't recognize me without a dog. Upon meeting a stranger, sometimes I'll mention that I run with a malamute and suddenly they'll light up and say, "OH! That's you?!" With Breeze by my side, I was always invisible. As it should be. Breeze was as beautiful and eye-catching as a dog gets. I'd be considerably richer if I had a dollar for every time people would pull their car over to the side of the road, roll down their window, and say "Oh, my! ....what a beautiful DOG!" Yes, he was. And with him I was as rich as I ever needed to be.
