Holy shit. 72 and sunny. Nurseries are not answering their phones. Message says we're open all day, c'mon down. The one's that have restaurants are serving food and allowing you to sit down to eat it. The wineries are open for business.
Hey Ralphie boy, quarantine this.

So the fridge should be here sometime this morning. Happy dance.
Need to change strings on the a Collings. The frets are lookin a bit gross too, so that needs to be cleaned up. Marty, Terry, 0000 steel wool yes/no? Stew Mac and the inter webs are touting abrasive 3m papers for frets? If I go that route, what grades of paper?
Raining here today, cool, high of 59. Next week sposed to be warmer.

Moving 1st start tomatoes from medium pots to large pots (gallon). Moving second start tomatoes from small pots to medium pots. Peppers are fine. Might start putting the Wave Petunias in their beds. Three daylilies to move. Finish pruning roses. Have a beer. Go on a 12-mile run. Climb mountain west of town. Have another beer. Watch "Best in Show" for the third time in three years. Ravage the wife. Go to bed. Or maybe skip the ravaging part and just go straight to bed.

Good morning. My agenda is the same as epaul's. Or perhaps not.
Took an early walk because we're in a hot spell that shows no signs of abating. It's not that bad but it puts a crimp in outdoor activities,
Have a good day.

Next week sposed to be warmer. Mike Philadelphia Luthier Tools makes a set of fret guards for like $6. These protect the fingerboard while using steel wool or other polishing abrasives. Stew Mac has them too but these are cheaper and nicer. 0000 steel wool is fine and leaves a nice polish. You can follow up with a metal polish like Maa's on a rag for a high gloss but it's not really needed.

56 degrees in the cabin this morning when the geese woke me about 6:30 am. Breakfast finished, Classic country station on the radio, drinking coffee, ready to get some work done.

I read the group. My morning is a little different. I just ate a banana and some OJ.
I still have a mask. My mask - it’s just for the C19. I hope that it will be gone.
Enjoy your days.

Good morning. Trip to the Pharmacy today, out of meds. Gets me out of the house for a little while. Me, too, Marty -- already picked up meds, money and vino confuzo. Skipped the meat market, as I have some fish to eat. FlightAware would seem to indicate that every single Cessna 172 in Minnesota and Wisconsin is airborne right now. A sunny day in the 70s, but gusty. Watch those crosswind landings, folks!

Wearing shorts today - it's supposed to get into the 80's today.
Not sure why, but this is how I'm feeling today.

Oh it’s blowing 25 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph. That should subside about 3 o’clock. Then the planting will begin. That will start with edible pod snow peas growing on the fence, lettuce and other salad greens in the small raised bed at the end, a variety of peppers, eggplant, and Lord knows what else in the other raised beds. I shall not be bored. Edit - forgot to mention the space at the near end will be tomatoes, and beyond the wire panel will be Silver Queen white-kerneled sweet corn (full season).

Thx Marty. I just ordered the fretboard protectors, much cheaper than stew Mac. As soon as they get here I’ll make the collings shine!

Getting close to planting rutabagas time. The seed pack says early summer. I think we're still dropping into the 30s next week overnight, so I'll wait a little while. Besides, I need a couple of posts and chicken wire to discourage the critters.

I do too John, they work very well, but are expensive. When I do a refret I'll use them up to the finest grit and then follow up on my buffer. I keep one wheel on the buffer for frets (tapped off for maple) and polishing hardware, and the other for lacquer only.
