I called up SoundHole a few minutes ago on my iPHone and got the following message: MALWARE ATTACK PRESS "OK" TO REPAIR. Supposedly the message was from Apple. Looked very official. I've noticed in the past that Proboards (sp?) can be a little squirrely, so I shut down the program and switched over to my laptop, which I'm posting this from.
Anybody else get this?

Nothing here.
PS: Disregard those unexpected charges on your credit card this month, but be secure in the knowledge that they were all worth it.

Nothing odd using my Android tablet or my Windows laptop. Clean the temporary files cache?

My Windows Media Player got invaded by some jazz singer who is scatting all the time. I'm thinking it's Melware.

It’s not from apple, Don. It’s a random fishing thing tat pops up occasionally, just back out of it and continue doing whatever. The scammers are good at Spoofing something realistic looking. It’s not this site either, it’s random.

This is why Mike should be the administrator. I hadn't a clue.

This is why Mike should be the administrator. I hadn't a clue. Buy me a new Collings or Santa Cruz and I’ll consider it. This is why I’d make a terrible admin. I’m bribeable. ( and a bad spiller) (and I think I’m hysterically funny) Mike

How about a Washburn with a neck that would take $400 to repair? I've got one of those.

They want you to click on the link & pony up some money. I have seen it and others like it before. I know at least two others have said the same thing but last one to post gets all the credit. I told Mike all about it. He didn’t know until I told him. Todd, please close this thread. Hurry.

There must have been a big password dump a while back. I have gotten two emails in the last few months from guys that have one of my old passwords and claiming that they have infiltrated my computer and camera and have videos of me jacking off to porn films and emails from the lady I am cheating on my wife with.
For roughly $6000 in bitcoin they will refrain from posting it on Facebook and sending them to everyone in my address book.
Sure glad those are old passwords 😊
I bet I get at least two emails a day telling me various credit cards and PayPal accounts have been compromised.

That scam has been going around for several months at least--first time I got it, after I stopped laughing because I don't have a webcam, I checked around and found that it seems to be based on a very old compromise, maybe Yahoo. I suspect script kiddies who bought an old password list at a bargain price.

To be safe, never click a button or link in an email message. If it’s really something legitimate you can log directly into your account at the referenced site and see for yourself if there’s something needing attention.
