Seriously, though, if there really was no foul play involved, this is a tragic episode for the woman, no matter what happened. You always look for the better nature in us. I guess I should have added "in Louisiana".

It now appears that the alligator in question had recently come into a large sum of money, not an easy thing for an alligator to do. This story may not be over.
