Anybody up over there? Not at all cool yet, tho it's coming. Tonight's low is supposed to be 14c (about 57f).
Rainy day here, no biking.

Good morning
30F-37F cloudy.
Up early as DaWife has the early shift this week after a week off. I usually get up at about 6:30 and make her coffee. After I serve her coffee in bed ( very spoiled girl) I'll snooze until 8:00 when I get up and take meds. This week she needs to be online and logged in by 7:30.
I let the cats out when I got up and just let them back in. Simon is NOT happy with the cold. That guy always meows a Thank You when you let him in, he really does that, Riley just walks by without a word. Today Simon had nothing to say, He has come in and had a whole string of meow complaints about being left out too long but Never without at least one meow. In cat lingo Thank You and About Time can be the same meow.

Up an atom.
Chawing on some cereal. I will head to the hospital in a bit. Sue goes in for a simple heart procedure this morning. The Watchman procedure. Supposed to be very simple low risk thing. But they are poking around in her heart. So there's always that.
Here's hopin'

Morning. Other than getting the snow blower on the tractor I think we have the get ready for winter chores done. Got a nice 8 mile hike in on Saturday and didn't do much on Sunday which is as it should be. Fare thee well.

Good luck to Sue and you, Marshall.
Good morning all. It's about 60F here. I'm going on a one-night outing to a place I like for wilderness therapy and photos. It's too early for fall color at that elevation but it should be pleasant.
Enjoy your day.

Good luck to Sue, and hope you have a nice book to take with you.
Nothing much happening today. It is sunny. Yesterday I hooked up some grow lights in the garage so my sarracenia, sundews and flytraps will have a place to stay this winter. The plants could probably survive outdoors with some insulation, but since this is my first year overwintering them I don't want to risk losing them. They all go dormant right about now until late February or March.

Marshall, here's hoping all goes well with Sue's procedure today.
In East Coast news, we're having our master BR stall shower re-grouted today and tomorrow. I could do it myself, but I just don't want to anymore. It will be fun arguing with the teen about using the shower in the hall bath, which she claims is hers.

Good luck to Sue. A couple Mel Brooks nurses for Marshall.
Watched a good part of the Philly/Dallas game. Man, when Philly quarterback sneaks, they don't mess around. It is an unstoppable one yare rugby mash. Their QB, Jalen Hurts, can squat over 600 lbs.

Best of everything to sue for me as well.
The suns out today but we’ll just have a high of 43. But they’re still saying mid 70s for this weekend and I can wait for that.

This is how much I know about current football: I thought the word Hurts in the video caption was being used as a verb. A comma would have saved me from embarrassment.

Good luck to Sue Marshall. High 20’s, windy but sunny here. Looking warmer later in the week.
That’s good because I still need to get the dock out. Still fighting a tenacious virus but the trend is slowly positive.

Good Morning
Third day in a row of constant rain, temps in the 40s. Two more rainy days forthcoming.
After an intense week of tending to granddaughters, we spent the weekend up north. Fall colors were brilliant, albeit dulled by rain. Stopped by the site of our former summer cottage on Sunday morning and chatted with a couple of the neighbors. Apparently the people who built a McMansion on our former property are not very friendly and the neighbors still miss us. It was great to see the lake surrounded by blazing maples during a brief moment of sunshine and to catch up with neighbors, but it left me with a feeling of loss and weirdness the rest of the day and into the evening.
Working in the basement today and preparing for some slightly less intense time with granddaughters this week.
Have a fine Monday one and all.

Marshal, all the best to you and Sue.
Yesterday’s party went pretty well. The brisket came out unbelievably good. And only one of Katie’s uncles made a stupidly racist remark about teaching kids of color. She is back teaching science as a Sub in the Beaverton school district. So…
Got a doc appoint today, I’ll stop at Trader Joe’s after, and that’s about it for the day.
