I was up at 5:00 but I had some coffee on the patio and turned to other matters.
I got off to a lucky start in Wordle. On my second guess I could only find one word that worked and it was the answer.
Stay well, everyone.

Morning, not all that good.
30F-36F cloudy.
Slipped while pouring the water in the coffee maker and got half the pot on the counter and floor. Then forgot to put the pot in the maker until it was almost too late so the coffee I did make was full of grounds. That's a redo Marty.
Sold a Reverb item so off to USPS and the pharmacy.

Good morning all.
Yellow pollen is all over everything around here!

I'm sitting in a car dealership waiting for an oil change for the state car I drive. We used to be able to get things done on state cars about anywhere but now we have to go to specific dealers. Considering I use work time for this, iw was a bad decision. When I got here for my 10:15 appointment they said it should be ready by noon.

When I got here for my 10:15 appointment they said it should be ready by noon. Must be REALLY thick oil!

Light snow, cloudy, not the most stimulating of days.
Watched Triangle Of Sadness during my evening and morning workouts. My recommendations? Don't bother.
Hopefully a tool I ordered for a repair sitting on my bench will come today so I can get on with it.
Todd I hope they had popcorn at the quick change. What channel was the waiting room TV tuned to?

That's part of what I love about the Kindle Ap on my phone. If I'm ever randomly stuck waiting somewhere, the book I'm reading is always right there for me.

I had plenty my laptop and plenty of meaningless paperwork to do that no one will ever read.

Went and looked at the new prius--really nice, and the dash is at least less space-ship-y than it was.
The key point to check was the width of the rear hatch (the opening), since for me one important function of a car is that it's a bike accessory--put down the rear seats and will one of my bikes go in/out and lay down there easily or not. And the more easily that works, the better. (And it's surprising how so many cars that are bigger than my Fit actually have less space in back.)
It passed that test, but given the reduced amount of driving I do these days, I'm not sure if I need a $30k bike accessory.
And there's a waiting list.

I managed to get exactly 4 things done today. Got the taxes filed. Cleaned cooking gunk off the kitchen blinds. Took Mr. H to buy 2 UPS batteries. Sent some certified mail. Yesterday Mr. H's battery for his UPS failed. We then realized that the one for my computer is 5 years old. Looked on line at Ace Hardware and the location near us didn't have them. So we drove 7 miles to the store that did have them. But they didn't have them. So then another 9 miles to the fringes of Tucson to the Ace that did have them, verified by phone. Stopped at the post office en route. So 2 1/2 hours and 34 miles later, we're home and I don't feel like doing anything.

Today I spent the first part of the day touring a distribution center/warehouse one of our related companies designed and built. Absolutely amazing to see all of the technology that goes into getting goods from one loading dock (incoming goods) to the other loading dock (outgoing goods). And an amazing number of robots. Luckily, they seemed too busy with their current jobs to be plotting our demise; however, I have a sneaking suspicion that they can multitask.

Oh lord, stuck in Lodi again…
This latest missive from our intrepid adventurers finds them at the Lodi, Best Western, having just consumed fast food mex burritos that were, um, ok. Fortunately, they brought their own wine, so that is going down nicely.
Tomorrow, we head towards the coast, hoping to beat the incoming storm to Crescent City. But if it gets ugly, we may hole up early.

Sorry you're stuck. The only time I was in Lodi was (ironically) to taste some local wine. It was very good.
