I will land at CID at 1600 hours, 09/07/23. I will probably secure lodgings at the Cobblestone until 09/10/23 at which time I will depart. Laters,

I plan on Thursday - Sunday. I have a tentative reservation at the place I stayed last year, as I enjoyed hanging out downtown.

Negotiations with other forum member came to a stalemate, so I am currently wavering, waffling, and undecided about attending. Getting to Vinton from here requires either a great deal of air travel/airport layover time and a couple of hours on the road in a rental car, or a shorter flight and five hours on the road in a rental car. It was much easier twenty years ago. If you found it easier to get to Indianapolis, JohnB or I might take you the rest of the way. I usually drive over on Thursday, but could consider waiting until Friday. Warning: Between 7 and 8 hours on the road with me is more than some people can handle.

Yes, I am also available for driving. Heck, I would swing by to pick up LJ if needed.

I offered transport from and to O’Hare to Howard as well. Same goes for Cornflake, though I haven’t reached out to him yet. And I probably can’t fit both in.

We are still planning on parking the Scamp next to Tamarack's tent. Whether that happens on Thursday or Friday remains to be seen.

Guess we better get a reservation, is there a block of rooms at the cobblestone? Todd said there isn't a block reserved but, as of a couple of days ago, there is no event scheduled that has rooms reserved.

Dub is correct. No need to reserve a block at this point. By the way, La Reyna, the Mexican place we have eaten at on Saturday night has changed hands. The original owners (Carmern) and her husband are focusing more on catering and things like that but they've rented the space to another restaurant which also has good food. I had a conversation with the owner today and we are down for eating there Saturday before the concert at 5:00. He's reserved the separate room for us, and he's a friendly guy. The only difference is that now the room we will be occupying is also the bar now. Nothing neccesarily wrong with that.

I’m planning on it, but my ability to travel is not what it was. Will see where I stand a few weeks from now.

Oops I have a conflict with the second weekend in Sept. So sorry boys. I really was planning on going. I was even going to book Cobblestone. But my calendar is telling me that I’m already committed to a week in Glacier Park with my hiking clan. Damn. I can’t believe I let that happen. But plane tickets are bought. Reservations are made. I’m bummed.
