The plucky underdogs? The ones with Mr. Irrelevant at QB. I think the 49ers are favored to win. The "Mr. Irrelevant" win would be nice and poetic. James, if you can, check out "Mr. Irrelevant" and Brock Purdy. Might make for an interesting read, and a brief google search shows some UK-sourced articles as well.

So did the SF’s lose cuz they had Mr. Irrelevant at QB? I think not. Good game all around, and Miss Swift did not get too much camera time.

Purdy was fine. The missed extra point, and more importantly, the punt fumble did them in. But in any circumstance, Mahomes is the main man for the end of any game. You've got to bury him early so he doen't have enough time at the end of the game to hurt you.

I was thinking the missed extra point was not as critical as it seemed. Meaning; if SF was up 4 on the last KC drive, the Chiefs would have acted differently and wouldn't have settled for the tying field goal. They'd have gone for the TD outright. And I wouldn't bet against them in that situation.
It was the punt/fumble that did SF in.

But, missing an extra point...
It's like going into a store without your pants on. Such a little thing that really shouldn't matter, yet so often it just ends causing you a big problem.
