Many of you have noticed that Todd has not posted in a week or more and you may have been wondering where he was.
Respecting the wishes of Todd and his daughters, nothing has been posted about his situation. Today, his daughters gave me permission to make everyone aware.
I am sure when he is able, Todd will be back posting and you can ask him about the things I may have not cleared up.
Todd had surgery a bit over a week ago to remove a benign growth in his intestine. Unfortunately, after he got home, some complications appeared. The staples used as sutures broke. He became quite ill and had to be airlifted to ICU. He has been pretty sick, was on a ventilator, and fighting a strong infection.
Being the Todd we all know, of course, meant he was fighting the infection with everything he had.
I am happy to say, he is doing much better, the tube has been removed, and his daughter told me a little while ago he is going to be moved out of ICU and put in a regular room.
He has a way to go yet, but I am told he is showing improvement every day.
Todd figured he would share his adventure with anyone interested after it was over. Well, you know what they say about plans.
When he is back on his feet and posting again, you can ask him all the questions you want.
I respected Todd’s family’s request for privacy but I was very glad they gave me permission to share this with all of you.

Todd, we have been rooting for you from Brooklyn, New York. Spring seems to be springing; the crocuses and daffodils are blooming, the sun is shining.
And you are healing.

I was aware of the basics of Todd's situation, but was also pledged to keep quiet about it. How wonderful that he has improved to where we can now discuss things openly with his blessing.
Tough guy, that Todd. Proud of you, sir.

Just got this from Todd’s daughter. “He’s moved to room 91-22. The hospital does free cheer cards on their website that they deliver every day, I think he’d love to hear from all you guys.” www.mercycare.org/patients/shopmercy/

Glad to hear you're making good progress in your recovery.
To cheer you up I'm thinking of performing that special song; "Almost Heaven, Rest Virginia" at the Brickside open mic on Friday.
Anxious for you to get back home!!

Sent a card, would.visit in person, but heading to Chicago. Sue's mom.has been moved to hospice care and we need to get over there to see her.
This on top of Sue winding up in the hospital last week with an infection. It hasn't been much fun around our house these last few weeks.
