Looks like I'll have to vote for the one sentient being. There is one ?

What I hate about these elections is that I always end up having to vote for the lesser of the evils. I've never quite understood that saying. Since nothing in life is ever perfect, every choice anyone ever makes is for the lesser of evils (unless someone likes the greater of evils.) You compare the pros and cons of each choice and you takes your pick.

You compare the pros and cons of each choice and you takes your pick. I think it's expressing the feeling most of us have that we seem so rarely anymore to be voting FOR someone. And in the case of this year's presidential election it's down to two laughably bad choices. Trump may be the strangest candidate in history. Most Democrat votes are actually against him and most Republican votes are in spite of him. He is the issue for the Democrats, and the world events and changes (a Democrat Party openly hostile toward Israel and openly sympathetic to Hamas is only the latest in a very long list) and lack of any other way of expressing it seems to be the only reason to cast a vote for Trump. Honestly, though, if I hadn't already given up on the process ("this world is not my home, I'm just passing through" has taken on real meaning for me) Trump selling Bibles would be the step too far. The chance that Trump could affect changes for the good are too remote for me to overlook the Bible thing. It would probably take too long to explain why.

Bruce, I think you should dump Fidelity because they're obviously mismanaging your portfolio. Cash it in and put the entire thing into DJT Truth Social. Don't miss out! It's obviously going to be huge.

I got a bottle of Ardbeg for my birthday and I'm saving it for the day that the Loper decision comes down from the Supreme Court. I'm trusting that Chevron and Massachusetts get overturned in that decision, dismantling the greatest fraud in our history, "climate change".
Once that brings the progressive con to light for all to see, the engineer of this Supreme Court will walk to victory, probably while Biden collapses in senile rage.
No, no "lesser of two evils" for me. Just creeping totalitarianism crushed by a return to our concepts of "Land of the Free" enshrined in our Constitution.
