Some of you folks know me from the back porchand Acoustic Guitar Mag forums. Thought I needed another internet outlet on which to waste some time, and you look like a friendly bunch.... Been playing for close to 40 years. Acoustic fingerstyle. Played in some bar rock bands in my teens and early 20s, trying to make a living, which didn't work. A couple of years of classical lessons. Played a bit, sometimes a lot, over the next couple of decades, and a few years back, got into it a lot again. Don't have a lot of expensive guitars, just some wishful thinking, but like the ones I do have. I don't play out - no time with two kids and a full time job. But I do record a bit. My stuff is at: www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=680787

Don't let them kid you, Rick. We haven't hung a new guy in a week or two. But we could make an exception.

Hey Rick, just watch out for those over there on the group W bench. Me!, I'm only here for littering.

Validate your parking my ass, they're just looking for kickbacks, parking is free. I will set up a debit account for you, 10 cents per post, payable to me. If Hammond would pay me I'd be set for life.

Hi Rick and welcome to the SoundHole! I am one of a few women here. I also play nylon string primarily, so I am a minority in that regard too. Nice to have you.

Hi Rick! Soooooo.... what ya in for? Pay no attention to the old man behind the guitar. If he does that, it knocks out most of the forum. Welcome, Rick.

Hey, Mr. Millring - I'm getting that badge tattoed on my left cheek - won't tell you which left cheek.... Marty, I know some of these guys too well already. As musicians are a shady bunch at the best of times, I'll be watching my step..... SteveO, you figure you didn't have to take the garbage out for a while, too? Wrenblue, not a nylon player much - it's getting dusty hanging on the wall. Applying the classical stuff to steel, using a (gasp) thumbpick. (There, I said it....) And sekhmet - woohoo, never been greeted by a GODDESS before.... To everyone else - thanks for the welcome. Certainly seems like a friendly place. Harmoneyes, where abouts are you? I'm in Pitt Meadows, about to move to Maple Ridge. Lived here all my life, grew up in North Vancouver.

Where abouts in North Van did you grow up? And when are you moving to Maple Ridge?

Moving in a month. And I grew up in a big old house right at the top of Keith Road hill, with a panoramic view of the harbor. My mothers house sold 25 years ago for $110,000. Probably be close to $1,000,000 now. Oh well....

Hey there Rick!
Good to see you here. I thought I had mentioned the Soundhole to you at some point.....glad you found your way here.
'Holers.....Like Rick said, some of you already know him from the Ag forums and the Backporch. If you're just meeting him, give his tunes a listen.
He's got a couple of beautiful daughters too.
Welcome, sir!

HI Rick. welcome.
Join us in the chat room when you can, just empty your own ashtray and don't leave beer cans laying around. The lioness gets pissed when the zebra couch gets stained.
Glad to have you amongst us. Oh yeah, btw, the new guy buys the beer.
