The agreement that we all signed when we registered should be enough rules. Here is the first paragraph and it spells it all out fairly clear. There's much more but this set clear ground rules.
You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. This is not only humorous, but legal actions can be taken against you. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate to this forum.

Did I agree to this? Damn! I'm not sure I can abide several of these. I can't even promise to try. Should I self-banish now?

Maybe it's an attempt to make light of all the lawyer speak yet remain serious at the same time. I dunno.

If we DO get a hot tub can we have a rule stipulating no twinkies in the hot tub? If there is one thing I can't stant, it's a soggy twinkie.

All underwear must be changed every hour. Underwear must be worn on the outside, so we can check.

1. Have fun. 2. Be nice to others. 3. Don't feed Bill or Sekhmet in excess of one Twinkie per day. 4. Don't dare Cribbs to streak through fast-food restaurants. 5. Village Idiot is not to be compared to Wilford Brimley -- Brimley pales in comparison. 6. DocShannon does not perform online surgery. I did not get elected to oversee this forum, I got appointed, like it or not. After 14 years I have appointed someone else who will uphold the rules. The Mods, and myself, have let some of the rules apply loosely. Except about being Civil, among all the rules it is a small thing to ask, BE CIVIL. This is what ProBoards says AND what everyone of you agreed to when you joined the forum.
