Andrew, I remember spending a couple of hours at that exhibit in 1998. Patricia has been watching a local to SF travel guy on PBS to decide where else to go other than London, still hasn't narrowed it down - Brussels, Edinburgh, and Dublin on her list.

Hey, Brussels! That's where I live! If Mrs. Bob decide's on Brussels let me know and I'll try to steer her to the right places.
That said, if I were to choose from the list above, I would opt for Dublin over Brussels anyday. Never been to Edinburgh, though. I'd love to go. (Along with my golf clubs!)

Hmm, Brussels. No disrespect but it's not a place I would choose to visit again. There are many more interesting places in Belgium. Edinburgh is a big tourist destination and the heroin addiction capital of Europe but if you don't go beyond the precincts of the castle or the Royal Mile you'll miss all the colourful locals begging for change or mugging tourists,(a quaint local custom). Dublin-again a major tourist trap full of pubs going hell-for-leather doing the commercial 'Oirish' thing. If you want a flavour of the real, non-profiteering country I would advocate staying away from the obvious tourist haunts. If I were to visit America places I would avoid like the plague but which are mercilessly marketed: New York Las Vegas San Francisco Los Angeles Orlando and anything remotely relating to Walt Disney.
In Ireland travel to Kinsale for great music, the best sea-food on the planet and beautiful scenery. In Scotland travel to Glasgow. Don't stop but immediately take the train to the West Highlands just a couple of hours away-lochs, mountains and great beauty. In Belgium travel to the battlefields of WW1. Awe inspiring and humbling but definitely not fun-best seen on a wet, miserable day.

Can't disagree with this, with the strong exception of New York. If for some reason one doesn't like London, one won't like New York either.

New York & SanFran are great, as is New Orleans & Chicago. Best "to visit" cities in the US, I think.

Chicago has a lot going for it, but I think the Twin Cities has a lot more, and it's cheaper and easier to get around.

.......but Chicago has LOTS of great museums, theatre and music If you stay in the loop area you can walk almost everywhere, or catch a quick cab.

I like Waterloo, Iowa, home of the Grout Museum.

"I like Waterloo, Iowa, home of the Grout Museum."We stopped there on the way to both IdiotJams, Todd, and Rob Herrington was especially impressed with the new Sealer Annex. There is also an interesting Wax Ring Display, featuring fixtures from the Far East.

It's set now. She'll be in London for 6 days, seeing Al Stewart, and Moon for the Misbegotten, then Cardiff for 2 days. Glad all dat stuff is planned. Now I'll start planning my solo trip to Melbourne for the Ozzie Open, like to do it this coming year, but it'll probably happen in 2008. Watch out, mate!(Matt)
