Nice gig, Bill, but how are you going to squeeze your fans into those cozy digs.

Nice gig, Bill, but how are you going to squeeze your fans into those cozy digs. Ah, well, we are only gonna admit those who pony up the $17 ticket price! Plus, since that thread was started, things have evolved and we are now the opening act for Jack Lawrence/Jon Garon/John Wheat, some first-class bluegrass boys. I was a little bummed at first, but we are getting paid the same, we can choose how long or short we want our set to be and we have a much better chance of having a full house now, so I am OK with it. Of course, there will be a VIP freebie ticket marked "Chicago Bob" at the will-call window.

Seriously, I am thrilled that you'll be there! Let's talk about gathering before or after the show! Thanks so much for your support.

...I thought your Warp-Speed Camry ran on anti-matter, Dub. ... Warp-Speed requires Dalmatian crystals. It's the advanced form of what makes fire engines go so fast. We are really looking forward to seeing you and Barb do your show. Also, we'd love to get together and play some tunes. So far, we have no gig lined up for Aug 16. If that trend holds, we may drive to Fair Beau (Fare Bolt?) on Saturday and spend the night. I'm sure Jon Garon will remember us from Mt. View, AR, in May. Depending on their schedule, he may want to join in as well. I've never met Jack Lawrence but I always figured if he was in the room I might not admit to owning or ever trying to play a guitar. But I suppose Jon would "out" me. I remember Jon was especially fond of Fiddlerina's fiddling. Jon has been persuading companies to build signature guitars in honor of wonderful players who may not be household names but are universally admired in their fields. He got Martin to build a Jack Lawrence signature model and Gallagher to build a Steve Rector model. Jon travels with and accompanies both of those players. With great expectation. - Dub
