Harmony Looks like the bridge is bolted down too. Whoever did this took “care” to match the new wood to the guitar finish. Nice work.

Isn’t “Golf Drama” an oxymoron?

Touring behind a modern hit artist and you get $200/ show. I’ve got a couple occasional 2 hr gigs that I get $200 for.
Sad. Very sad.

"One of C's university friends keeps giving us bags of frozen strawberries from last year's crop in her home garden. They have way more/more interesting flavor than the giant supermarket kind, and they have led to an increased consumption of gelato and ice cream to put under them." I'm sure they're much better than supermarket strawberries. Our blackberry crop usually ripens in May and it's usually huge. This year, it's late and not that large. These things are mystifying. We had a relatively wet winter which ought to be good for the crops. Soon mulberries will be ready.

When I built this house, there's a first floor bedroom and full bath that could be a mother-in-law room. It's a guest room now. Neither Sue's mom nor my mom moved in. Of course we did not offer when the time came. And both of them went to Assisted Living situations. It would have been quite awkward to have them here in the long run.
My daughter and two small kids moved into 2 upstairs bedrooms when she got divorced. That lasted for a year. It was chaotic, but I liked it.

Packing today for a long weekend in downtown Milwaukee. Willie Nelson concert is on Saturday and we thought we would head out a few days ahead and take a boat ride, go to the art museum and/or just walk near the lake. The Milwaukee Art Museum is one of the most amazing places to experience. It's a work of art itself. Quite lovely. But the vast majority of the museum's collection is held and displayed in the mundane box next door. There's little room for "art" in the Calatrava.

Have I mentioned how wonderful it is to be able to step into the shower-even if I have to use a shower chair? No more being hosed down in the backyard! Heaven is in the small things. Don't knock being hose down in the back yard.
