If that's a photo taken today, then Minnesotans have the opposite definition of "Indian Summer" from Hoosiers. Beautiful shop, though.

You should probably tune up the Indian Snowblower.

Around 12:30 this morning, I went out to feed our semi-resident garage cat (Big Gray Guy, with one bent-over ear and romantic scars) and found the ground just covered with snow and lots in the air yet. So far it has stayed on the roofs, and the grass is sticking up through a white skim. It's pretty the first time, then it gets old.

It's difficult to find words to describe how much this sucks Exactly. We had a dusting here too. And last evening I stupidly went out and covered the peas. Not much help when it's 20 degrees.

Terry - I couldn't agree more - the only words I had when I woke to this were completely inarticulate noises beginning with ARRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!

Gorgeous picture, and a gorgeous day. Around here, these early snows are no big deal. The streets are warm enough that the snow just melts off. It will be gone in a few more house I expect...although we are supposed to get more tomorrow.
The up-side for me is that across the street there is a golf course surrounded by million dollar homes, all built on gently rolling hills. The snow makes the whole thing look like a postcard.
The down side is that I slipped and fell on the sidewalk this morning and I think I might have broken my left pinkie. Owie!

ps: Around here, "Indian summer" means a warm day (like 70 or warmer) AFTER the first frost.
pps: A hawk just flew about 15' from me on my deck. Wow. That was cool!

It's difficult to find words to describe how much this sucks . You should probably tune up the Indian Snowblower. So, in short, it sucks to need a blower.

It's difficult to find words to describe how much this sucks Have you pulled the dock in yet? No to the dock, deck furniture, pontoon, and hoses. I'm off to Wadena for a Patsy Cline job, I'll think about it tomorrow.

So today I took down the umbrella and the hammock and rolled up the hose. I'll take care of the deck furniture tomorrow.
