Off to Sunday School and church in a few minutes. The weather is glorious, and I plan to take advantage by taking a nap later. The kids can go outside and play.

Well it seems we've had our "one hour of sunshine" which is about all we are allotted these days, it seems.
It's 3 weeks til our "run" in FLorida and the weather has not been at all conducive to being outdoors much less running. My favorite (and mile-measured path) is too muddy so I need to map out a paved route. In the "kinda creepy" category...a dead body was found on my path this past week...19 year old male. Last I heard they had ruled out foul play though.
Making progress on getting one pocket of major reorganization accomplished here on the home front...about to go tackle it again today.
Big football game here between Green Bay and Minnesota. I won't watch it but will check the score periodically. Go Pack!!

Morning. I'm tired. The elder is grumpy and inebriated. I'm avoiding.
Had a grand time yesterday driving to Toronto.

Halloween party last night. We're old and were home by 10:15. Had a good time, ate too much. Didn't drink there, but had a glass of wine when we got home.
We had about three days of winter here, which pretty well wiped out what was left of my garden. Now we're seeing highs around 80F again.
No messing around with changing the time here, but the four atomic clocks in the house have to be reset because they don't know any better.
Satsumas. I didn't know what those were either until I ran across them in a Harry Potter book and looked them up.

Crisp, sunny day here, and I have gotten a fair amount of chority done already. There are tons of leaves to corral, but tons more still on my trees, so I am kinda at a stalemate. May have to hire some help, wouldn't be the first time.
Lonnie Knight is coming over for chili and football -- when the big game is over, we'll no doubt head over to the last of the open mike, which Glenn Elvig is hosting for me tonight, bless his soul.
Go, Packings!

I've not felt well the past few days and can't seem to shake the headache/body aches/nausea. Nothing that really kept me down but I sure have not felt like doing anything. About an hour ago, my daughter came home from work with a sore throat, body aches and chills. She wasn't home for 10 minutes and she started to throw up. Guess we've been bitten. I think I'll just take it easy for the rest of today.

Evenin'.....
Finally back from Dodge City. Played this morning for both 8:30 and 10:45 services. So good to be back with the worship band there. I'm on a once a month rotation and will be playing the first Sunday of each month. This morning was wonderful. The worship minister/pianist Susan and I winged an unrehearsed guitar/piano instrumental of "Here I Am to Worship" that came off flawless and sweet as can be. After almost ten years total playing for church with her, we have a way with pulling off these and it is SO fun.
To give you a little glimpse of part of what I'll be playing for the Imagine Christmas production, here is a Youtube tutorial by the guy that arranged the version of Carol of the Bells for the show.

This afternoon I photographed a chapel at our church. An Orthodox artist did this in an Episcopal church for reasons no one seems to remember.

Don, your church music sounds like more fun than mine! Are you really going to play an overdriven electric on that? Cool!
