Good morning!
Anyone watch the Yankees - Orioles game last night? A 15 inning affair with a little bit of everything. The Yankees had to use a starting pitcher as a pinch runner! Fun game to watch, and a good outcome for this Yankee fan. The Yankees have 13 pitchers on the roster which gives them only 3 bench position players - kinda nuts, I think. Enough baseball for now, especially because I'm pretty sure that there are no other Yankee supporters here.
So... got some piano and guitar playing squeezed in as well. And even some dulcimer - practicing A Case of You - until one of its 9 year old strings broke.
Time for an episode of Criminal Minds, and then some sleep.
Later.

Good morning... gotta learn songs today... The Highwayman, request from the owner of tomorrow night's venue... and maybe New York State of Mind, great chords in that one.

Good morning. The rain continues to miss us, goes all around us. I'm going to relent and run a hose into the pool to finish filling it so I can vacuum it. Hope the well holds up. Summer is forecast to arrive next week with temps around 90.

Good morning. Should have rain today they say. In fact rain is in the picture the rest of the week and on into next week.
I'm going to two workshops this summer, one for the guitar and the other for the mandolin. Looking forward to both.

Mornin'..... Another day of exams. Ty has Ks. History, English, and Algebra. Shay just has Chemistry. This is the second attempt at first semester Chemistry. IF she passes (and we're hoping her exam grade brings her F up to a D), she'll take semester 2 during June in a 4 hr/day condensed summer course and stay on track timewise. If she bombs it, she'll have to repeat semester 1 next year for the third time and risk extending her high school another year. Today, I'll put out 8 Jalapeño Pepper plants, 1 Yellow Bell Pepper plant, and a cluster grape tomato plant in the bucket on the patio. Still haven't decided when to plant some sweet corn. Need to study varieties and maturity times so it isn't ready to soon. Probablt a good full season one will get past Swannaoa time.

Mornin
Going to the cardiologist on Friday, my doc says I have a heart arrhythmia. They may have to give me a shock treatment to get things back in sync. This kind of crap always comes along when you don't have time for it. This means things in my already too busy shop get held up for another day.

Good morning. Yeah, we had weather here. As I was driving back to Phoenix, I encountered 35 degrees and a combination of driving rain and hail in Flagstaff. It's downright cool here. Love it.
Enjoy your day.

Who woulda thunk a Goodall could sound so good playing that fingerpicking stuff? Oh yeah, Bill, Don #299, Russell, and any of us who have heard them play. I hear a little bit of slack key thrown into the mix.
We had the wind, we had the rain yesterday. It seemed like a crazy amount of rain, but I guess I'm getting a little used to how it rains in Phoenix. One of the students was drop-filling the finish on his electric guitar (drop-filling is exactly what it sounds like - he was dabbing lacquer on his guitar body to fill some areas that the finish didn't fill). Suddenly we had a gust of wind that included a mini dust devil. Drop fill normally doesn't involve painting a bunch of dust into a guitar finish. Lots of fun sanding today!
Marty, I've always thought your guitar repair skills were shockingly good; in fact, they almost make MY heart skip a beat. It's good to know your doctor (and your heart) acknowledge the same. I'm sure you'll get your heart back on track in no time.
Don, good luck to Ty and Shay.
I threw a set of extra lights on my Knutsen Hawaiian guitar Monday night, and I'm amazed at how good it sounds even with a set of 10-47 strings. Normally Hawaiian guitars are set up for a set of 12s or 13s, and some day I'd like to try something heavier once I get the top structural issues resolved.
Well, it looks like a beautiful day ahead, so I ought to get moving.
