My Father's Day requests...
"Don't bust my balls." "Don't ask any un-necessary questions. If you do, don't expect an answer."
Here's to fathers everywhere, living or departed!

2nd the motion. All in favor say "Aye".
I didn't get a "Happy Father's Day" this morning but I think it was because we had no electricity again and that disrupted Mary's thoughts. It will come to her later and she'll call from work. My son will call later. Meanwhile, it's just another day but at least the power has come back so I can have more coffee. I made "Camp coffee" again since the gas stove still works without electricity but now I can make some real coffee which isn't so gritty. Then I'll get back to the carpet around the pool project.
Happy Father's Day to all you Dads.

Good morning, well, I just celebrated Father's Day by booking flights for Yungerdottir and Elderdottir to visit in July. Every year it gets tricker, schedule-wise, as they are working summer jobs essential to their economic survival, but somehow we make it work. Cannot wait to see them, hug them, eat with them, laugh with them.
I have a gig today at the idyllic Vino in the Valley, and the weather forecast looks OK. I'll head to Eau Claire first to spend some time with Mom & Dad at their NH, then scoot back west to the Greater Plum City Non-Metro Area. There is even a rumor that MartinFever and his spouse might show up, which would be very cool.
Marty got Mizz Martina back in shape yesterday. Crank O the truss rod, new strings, runs like a champ.
Kudos to all the dads out there. Ours is a noble lot!

Happy Father's Day. I'm wishing for a lawn that will suck itself back into the ground. Either that or a new pair of sweatpants.

Good Morning Good People
Sunny and cool. gonna get hot.
I've received Father's Day greetings from my wife and dog, but my son arose at 5:30 to leave for work and my daughter slept at a friend's house. I'll call my Dad tonight. With the effects of Alzheimer's our conversations are brief, but now and then I see a glimpse of the Dad I've always known.
Typical Sunday ahead. Maybe a bike ride.
Have a fantastic Father's Day one and all.

Just droppin' by to wish all the great guys here a Happy Father's Day! Hope you are treated in a sufficiently kingly manner by those in your family able to do so! I sure do miss my dad... MrR has headed out to golf with our son and our daughter and SIL will be comiing over later today. The weather is NOT looking very cooperative. I guess we're just not going to have "summer" this year (sigh)l I am headed out to pot up the last of the plants I bought last week. Sure do love summer flowers! Have a wonderful day either being or treating a "dad".

Good morning. By accident I'm spending Father's Day visiting a daughter. We'll go hiking this morning, then visit a winery or two this afternoon before Diane and I fly back to Phoenix. Enjoy your day.

Good morning... Happy Father's Day. I think I'll drive out to the cemetery and sit with dad for a bit. I sometimes wish I could do that. We took Dad's ashes out to sea about 10 miles out from L.A. Harbor in a 50 ft. ChrisCraft yacht. I got the duty (since Rick didn't want to and Bill was hanging onto a ladder about to puke 'cause he was seasick) of dumping the ashes out over the transom. So Rick grabbed my belt and I leaned over and proceeded to scatter the ashes. Of course, being so fine and tightly packed in the canister, a bit was stuck in the bottom. I gave the canister a sharp rap on the transom and they broke loose and fell out just as a huge wind gust came up from behind the boat.....blowing most of the ashes right back at me, all over me. Rick casuallyleans over with me and says "I see Dad had to get in your face one more time!" We pitched a wreath out onto the water and watched it drift off. "Bye, Dad". Afternoon..... Back from Dodge for church and dinner at Napoli's Italian Restaurant. Did talk to Evan on the phone while I was up there, and he may call me later and let me know if we can arrange a visit. Played a solo today during Communion.....brand new arrangement of Amazing Grace morphed together with a newer contemporary chorus titled My Chains Are Gone. Went really well, may have been recorded and/or videoed. Was astonished at the rich, deep bass notes.....as I did the Amazing Grace melody notes all on the 5th and 6th strings. Did it in A. One guy came up after the service to see what I was playing on.....commenting also on the wonderful resonant bass coming from such a small guitar.

Don, my stepdad got in my face one last time, too... although the ceremony at sea was nice, the whole adventure left a bad taste in my mouth. Thank goodness there was water on the boat to wash it down.
