Like a lot of northern Minnesotans, at this time of year our Birthday Boy seeks to get out of America's Icebox for a few days, and that is why he and his tribe have hit the road for the great Southwest.
I refer, of course, to Grand Forks.

I'll be going to the Hobbit (I know, but I can hold divergent opinions with ease and comfort), and then to my favorite Italian restaurant for some shrimp, scallop, and clam linquini in a light garlicy red sauce, then the house lasagna, then some rigatoni and sausage, then some good ole spaghetti and meatballs, then back to the scallop and clam linguini for desert.
I love birthdays.
