The country remains in stunned silence at the transcendent majesty of last night's performance by the Royals.

Is this athletic event over or still on-going? Which type of spheroid does it involve and do the players of this event run, jump, or hit at things with sticks? On ice or on unfrozen ground?

So I guess we won't make mincemeat of the Royals the same way we handled the Kitties in 2012.
But seriously—it's been a good series to watch so far. The one thing that bothers me is that now EVERYONE in baseball wears a hipster beard. When the 2010 Giants won the series they were described as a band of "bearded misfits"—I guess they were trendsetters.
I might have to watch a game. . . . , I thought baseball was over in June.
I read something the other day that seemed so incredible that I just HAD to go to snopes.com to check it out. Did you know that the NBA is still in existence? Check it out for yourself if you don't believe me.

There's only 3 sports fans on this board. The rest of the board just whines about the games being played at all.
But I'm in Peoria and had a business dinner last night. Only got to catch the last 3 innings after the damage was done. Good for the Royals. Gonna be a good series.

OK, I'm in! It's just pathetic that most people here have no interest in baseball.... BASEBALL! Some even claim to fall asleep just thinking about it! So I will, indeed, express baseball-worthy opinions. But to those who say disparaging words about the Detroit Tiger Baseball Organization, please desist! A guy could get his feelings hurt, after all. The truth or lack of truth in those comments is irrelevant. A guy could get his feelings hurt.
So... Go Royals! Nicely played last night and that teenager who pitched - awesome!
Regarding beards: all blame for our expanded tolerance of beards in baseball should be directed at the Boston Red Sox. I have never seen a more scraggly bunch than those world champions from last year. By comparison, I'd take all the Giants home to Mom before that lot.
I just love the way the Royals play the game. Baseball spent too many years thinking that the way to compete with football was to match each touchdown pass with a home run.

Hey! Me, me, me!!! Although I am a Baseball and Red Sox fan, mostly 80-90%. Meebe 95%. All true sports fans are Baseball fans. And just what did happen to the NBA?
Everybody's had a few, Now they're talking about who knows who. I'm goin' back to the town where everybody knows your name.
I'm a fair weather sports fan. My ears perk up around play-off and tourney time(s). I find that the less I played sports, the less of a fan I became. That, and when thugs and apathy took over pro sports, it became less appealing. The highlight of my sports year is the NCAA tourney.
