HDMI is High-Definition Multimedia Interface. It is the current best cable standard for transferring audio and video from devices like DVD players to TVs. You may encounter TVs that only use HDMI but I think they are still rare. Too many people still have older DVD players and VCRs they want to connect.

If you want to watch recorded movies on your tablet all you have to do is load the files into the device just like you do music. Press play.

If you want to watch recorded movies on your tablet all you have to do is load the files into the device just like you do music. Press play. I know...sounds easy right? Turns out there is an issue of the limited memory though. Movies take a lot. A week's worth of movies would max out the memory. An external storage device seems the logical answer...but apparently not an easy thing to do.

I would think you can do without "a weeks worth of movies" and settle for two or three titles that you can watch and enjoy.
