Morning
I see we have double daily's again, time to copy and paste.
Not much to do today until it's time to start cooking. A roast of beef tonight and then I need to clear away the kitchen mess so I can start prep for breakfast. The Orange Custard French Toast has to soak overnight in two big sheet pans. I have a Ham in the fridge for Christmas Day dinner, I think that is going over next door to the daughter's house to make room in my fridge. Late this afternoon a large tray of Deviled Eggs will appear, as usual, and a pot of Hot Cocoa with bottles of fortifying liqueurs near by. Merry Christmas all.

Good morning to all. I'll work this morning, have lunch with a friend, then make taco shells and filling for tomorrow's dinner. Enjoy your day.

G'mornin' - pies to finish today for dinner tomorrow, someone gave us an eighteen pound turkey and that's being thawed ready for roasting tomorrow. 7 more people show up today and 2 more tomorrow - it's getting crowded on the island

Good morning to all. I'll work this morning, have lunch with a friend, then make taco shells and filling for tomorrow's dinner. Enjoy your day. I'd do that with a big pot of Chile Verde on the side, but since I live in the land of Estrogenia I'm not allowed.

Scrooge here, up earlier than I would have preferred, but I need to make a provisions run before work for Milady, who is laid up with some sort of viral respiratory bug that was bad enough to send her to a clinic yesterday, where they did a flu test on her and ruled that out, thank goodness. I guess this rules out our wee holiday gathering tonight, but that is OK. We can reschedule -- I want her healthy so she can enjoy all the edible and drinkable gifties I got her. (And which I know she will share with me, he said with a sly wink.) Gotta figure out what, if anything to eat -- people always bring food to work on the holidays, but it's usually sweets and such, and I don't really go for any of that. Meanwhile, in south Minneapolis, Patti and Lonnie await a legion of guests:

Here I go a-wassailing again. Maybe Marty can fix that. Patti's daughter and family got here last night, husband, two daughters (almost 4 and 7) and three dogs. I made beer cheese soup, first time ever, with smoked sausage on the side for the two carnivores (me being one of them), and it was lovely, if I do say so myself.

Kids are at the in- laws and won't be here till Friday so Pat and I will be sitting alone in our chairs looking at each other and will probably say something like "So it's you then".

I am home alone today with wife and son hoping they get released early from work. Cooking a ham tonight and green bean casserole and Lyonnaise potatoes since we skipped the green beans at Thanksgiving. Tomorrow is beef Wellington and asparagus and squash apple walnut dish. The good news is that I can eat and drink most things since my mouth is healing after adjusting my dosage.

Good morning. A day of cooking and cleaning ahead followed by the arrival of the rest of the family for our traditional Christmas Eve celebration. Tomorrow we are off to Larry's former wife's place for Christmas dinner. Going to be busy. I think I should have slept longer. Won't be around the chat tonight so I will take this moment to wish you all a wonderful Christmas holiday.

We're going to the home of a friend of Jane's whose mother was originally from Poland, so it will be a traditional Polish Christmas feast.
Tomorrow, we stay home, enjoy the quiet, recover from the lead up to the holidays, prepare for more coming soon.

We made figgy pudding and cheesecake yesterday. Today it's squash, wild rice, and scotch eggs, as well as a few sauces. The idea is to have nothing to cook tomorrow but the goose.
Still have to clean the bathrooms and wrap a couple presents, there's always something.
We watched Rare Exports last night, and will watch Christmas Story tonight. Traditions continue.
