Good morning. Nice day today but my left arm is still complaining about the pick-up-sticks Saturday so no real work will get done today.
Happy Monday, if possible.

Up and at work. I decided to follow up my bout of watching Time team by checking out a copy of the Oxford Illustrated History of Roman Britain from the library. It is really fascinating stuff.
After 25 years or so of trying to play the guitar, I changed the way I hold the (I know! I'm so sorry!!) pick, and am mightily striving to cease resting my pinky on the pick guard. It is both surprisingly helpful and surprisingly difficult. Never give up, I says.

I am up. What is this work of which many of you speak? Rainy and spring-like here which means I am all stuffy. Stay as cool as you are.

Up. Coffee. Dental appointment. Take stuff to the trailer for our first camping trip of the season. Kicking tires on a new lawnmower. Hey! These tires are plastic! They want how much for this? Suffering sciatica.

I liked my two speed Deere except that fast was a little too fast sometimes and slow was a little too slow. And Deere no longer makes my mower, they have changed the drive mechanics, and reading reviews everyone seems to bitch about the POS new drive mechanisms. And this bitching cuts acrooss brands. Except for the Hondas with hydrostatic transmissions. People like those. And they start at $729.00. So... Mike

It's a good morning on the health front. Sleep is getting easier, energy is decent. My only complaint is that something is affecting my my voice, the notes are still there but I'm quite hoarse, might have to nickname myself the Denim Fog.
Going to a funeral today for my dear friend Tim Tkach. He had a major heart attack last October (age 60) and crossed over a couple days ago.

It had a continuously variable speed control so the mower speed was divorced from the blade speed. Don't know if they still have that or what they cost now.

I've never owned a lawn mower. Nor had to fuck futz with one, repair it, start it, clean it, store it, get it going in the spring...

At work at my retirement job. I don't remember if I have yakked about this before, but, when playing music gigs, I figure if I earn $100, $50 is for hauling in and setting up, $50 for tearing down. Well, doctoring these days seems about the same. I enjoy taking care of my patients, then they pay me for documenting. Could be worse. Have a good day.
