Good morning everybody. Now...it's Thursday ... it was my early weekend back when I was drinking.
I need get another abode. Maybe I need a caravan.
My Fairfax house is selling. I must leave 7/31. I'm tired of all this moving. I'm going to figure this out. Maybe another year in Marin county. I doubt it.
I've been talking about Mexico for four years. I just need to find out which little tiny hamlet ....
soon....... M E X I C O
Edit: BTW.... this whole process is very difficult. But I do have some possibilities and I have positivity too ...most of the time.

Well dang, Bob. I'm sorry your building sold. That is a bummer, my friend.
No news. The steroids seems to be taking hold, but aren't the presto drug I had hoped. I have four more days to take those, so we'll just have to keep on it and see. I'm clearly still not sleeping well.
In the mean time, I'll get a little guitar in every day, and water my garden. I planted the tomatoes way too close together, but will be content to water and watch versus setting up another box and transplanting any.
The blueberry bushes are over their transplant shock and are doing fine. They all get another dose of fertilizer today. My coworker planted his bushes last year, and we trade notes. My six look now like his did as he remembered them looking last year, and his took off this year. I'm looking forward to tons of blueberries next year.
The strawberry plants are on their way fine, and the pachysandra beds are holding their own as well. That's the status quo as of today, and this fall I will add some fruit trees.
Well, that's the garden report at 2:06 AM here in Flatlandia. The girls are all asleep, so I best try and get some rest. I'm at the point at work where I don't actually have to be awake, having just finished the last of the deliverables required. What I'll do in the next two weeks is make any refinements the team needs, get my hand-over notes together for the person getting hired to fill the balance of the contract, and take a few days to go to St louis to watch Rob and Jules dance.
7 July is my last working day for this job, and I'll start over at the College on 10 July. My buddy Pete, another retired colonel of the same vintage as me, got hired over there as well and starts on the same day. We'll try and keep our sarcasm in check.

41.75km this morning, and I hope that the 1400+ calories that I supposedly burned (garmin) comes off my gut...
Making dinner--rice, mackerel filets (pan), avo, and a veggie experiment--some corn cut off the cob and a red bell pepper, which should make for good color/presentation. Sauce for that will be garlic/oil, with some yoghurt and a bit of curry powder added at the end. I usually use that sauce with a chicken/broccoli combo, so we'll so how it works here. We have some mini packs of bacon, might try that for meat flavor.

Good morning. Dry and warm this morning and headed to the 90s but it will be mowing day.
Played Folky stuff for 45 minutes yesterday on the Martin before the hand started to hurt and that's actually progress. Mostly the fingers went where they belonged, even the little finger. The arm muscles didn't tighten up either which was real good. Maybe there is an end to this.
Happy Thursday.

Morning 76F/24C T-storms and rain. Decent nights sleep. Shop time and some shopping to do today. 77 Days to IJ. 13 Days to Key West. The Doc doesn't want me riding a two wheel bike around Key West so I may have to settle for one of these to get around. Or maybe this. A week bus pass is cheap so we may do that.

Marty--I'd bet they have at least one of those pedal pub things. They do, but they seat 6 or more and are way too heavy for just two people. This is what I would like but nobody on the island has one.

I had a hard time with the Trike. My feets too big, and it was surprisingly tippy. But, my goodness, is Key West flat.

Electric bike. Un-huh.
Tired this morning. I did not sleep well last night. Probably because we received my Mom's remains yesterday. Hopefully this will pass. We have plans to take her to Maui in December, and scatter her ashes at the same place her late husband was scattered. Hopefully that will be healing.
Today we hook up the airstream and head off to Lacey WA, for a weekend Jazz Fest.

dogs got me up at 4:30, they went outside and I went back to sleep...and slept in.
Project management starts today. Putting in a fancy garden gate that mom bought over 10 years ago and the old man avoided installing.
yard/garden/mowing after chores.
niece 1 coming in this evening.

Morning, all, we got a downpour here on my way in to work, which made me glad I got the front yard cut last night. Then I got to my daily skyway coffeeshop stop, they poured me my usual and signed my frequent-sipper card. I reached into my pants pocket for money -- which, I realized, was still in the jeans I wore yesterday, along with my driver's license and credit card, so I am officially broke until I get home again. Senior moment. At least the coffeeshop was nice enough to say "That's OK, you can pay us tomorrow," so I got my morning caffeine dose, and I do have a nice Honeycrisp apple, so I shall survive.
My NIO has decided she wants an Infiniti like mine, although she has a bigger budget and thus is able to get a newer one. I located a 2013, certified (brought up to a long list of Infiniti-mandated service specs) G37X with 40K on the ticker, clean CarFax, etc. It was a three-year lease return and they are asking $20K for it, black with "Sand" interior. (Wouldn't that chafe?) Looks like we'll be heading to the dealership on Saturday for a test drive.
Which means I will miss a cheap (free admission, $5 parking) air show in Menomonie AND the Ellsworth Cheese Curd Festival, both in Sconnie. Quel dommage!

Marty you would look great on a Vespa. Screw the pedaling. One more day in Crested Butte. Hard to describe how beautiful a mountain meadow in summer is.

Bill, be thankful that when you reached into your pocket you didn't discover that you'd forgotten your pants. That would be a full-fledged Senior Moment.
Old Guy 1: That's embarrassing--I came out of the men's room and saw I'd forgotten to zip up when I finished.
Old Guy 2: Yeah, well it coulda been worse--you coulda forgotten to unzip before you started.

Had a friend that lived midway between Gunnison & CB we stayed with. First time I skied there, think it was '77, A young Amy Carter was there skiing, accompanied by some very obvious Secret Service agents. Couldn't tell if they liked to ski or not... Did you drive Cottonwood Pass? Might not be open yet, but a stunning bit of real estate.
