Good morning. All but the deepest drifts have melted and they should go soon. Of course the temperature will drop back into the teens tomorrow and we'll see if it comes with more snow.
You made it to another Friday. Now try for Saturday. Hope Doug's OK.
Looks to be a wet day so maybe stay inside and play guitar is the plan.

Good Morning Good People
25 degrees, down from 55 yesterday evening, continuing to drop. About an inch of new snow/sleet/ice on the on the ground.
Today is theoretically a vacation day -- I gotta burn 40 hours of vacation time before February 16 or lose it (already carrying over 40 hours to have a bank of 160 hours for the next year). I will probably end up at the office for a few hours nonetheless
On one side of my workshop is an old concrete wall where the paint I put up 15 years ago is peeling off, exposing yellow lead-based paint. On the other side is a workbench with a dissected banjo. I will be switching off between these tasks.
Hoping the best for Doug and hoping to hear an update.
Have a fine Friday one and all.

Doug successfully came through the triple by-pass surgery and is expected to recover. Don't know when he'll be released to go home, or how long his recovery will be, but he should be out of immediate danger.
in other news it's still wet out, but not freezing. one of the gladiolas I planted in the fall is already coming up, hope the rest don't get drowned out. Still have pruning to do.
better days y'all.

The wind she is a-blowin here today so the frigid air feels like knives against one’s face. Nice. 😬. Fortunately I only have one obligation that will take me out today.
After watching family endure a month of colds, pneumonia and stomach flu without my succumbing to any of it, this week I got hit with an upper respiratory virus that has made it hard to get from dawn to dusk without couch time. Ugh.
Lots of calls and paperwork tasks await. Good day to take care of such things.
TGIF to all the worker bees! Have a great day, Friends! ❤️

Back to the deep freeze. Minus 25 C this morning. Chihuahuas want no part of it. Can't say I do either.

Woke up this morning in Ogalala, Nebraska after a 10 hour drive yesterday through weather that ranged from 47 degrees to 6 degrees. Rain, freezing rain and snow, lot of crashes on I80. Off today for Golden, Co.

Up and feeling old. I still look like I am 32 but I feel much older--maybe 36 or 37. I am ignoring the mirror. Have a good one.

Nature is amazing. This morning a light freezing rain preceded a light snow in such a way as to epoxy the latter to the pavement and guarantee that even a jackhammer with a snow shovel attachment couldn't clear the sidewalk.

So, you have toxic things on both sides of your workshop.

Work today, but only for a couple of hours. Didn’t know Doug was going in for a refit. Hope he’s getting a new paint job, old one was a bit crusty.

Good day. We picked up a chunk of snow with this last storm. All schools and several businesses throughout the entire valley were shut down Wednesday and Thursday. Now we are dug out and it is sunny and cold with some impressive snow piles. I love my snowblower.
