Guess it's Thursday now.
I had the landscape crew start on the west side which is what you see driving in. 4 guys raked for 6 hours and got less than 1/4 of the place cleaned up. What they did looks real nice but I wonder how long before the boss figures out he underestimated the job. All I really need is for the big stuff to be gone so I can mow without breaking blades. They haven't started on the stuff that will require a chainsaw yet. I talked with the laborers and amazingly they all speak English with just a local accent. They'll be back this morning and it's supposed to be a little warmer today.
My back is a little better this morning but it will still be on light duty for awhile.
Happy Thursday.

... ... I talked with the laborers and amazingly they all speak English with just a local accent. .. Funny how that works out, eh? Listen a little more closely, and you might get some stock tips.

Well, I thought it was funny but most of you guys don't get my sense of humor. Actually, here, most of the Latinos work on the farms or for one of the 2 big chicken outfits, Purdue or Tyson. This landscaping outfit is owned by a local black guy and the laborers were also black.

I've tried sleeping this cold off. Today I try exercising it away. Off to the woods with Breeze.

Another sunny beautiful day here. Low 30’s predicted. Finish sanding today. The Porter Cable Speed Bloc sander in the picture is the best finish sander around.

Good morning. It'll be about 57-69 degrees at my house. I'll help at the food bank this morning and then do chores this afternoon. Have a good day.

Of course, President Obama pronounced it corpse so it's an easy one to screw up even for a great genius and constitutional scholar let alone an idiot. Speaking of great honour honor, I received an email from the National Visa Center today telling me that they have all the documentation they need and I will soon be granted an interview for my Green Card. Hallelujah. Coming back to Canada and doing things by the book actually expedited the situation.

Oh my.....almost halftime (for the day) and I'm just getting around. Getting back in routine with sister-in-law Jo back from a month long respite at a senior living complex in Dodge City. She had nailed down the flu, spent 4 days in the hospital, then we decided it would be best to take a break. She got healthy again, I didn't end up with the flu although I did the Tamiflu as a precaution. Hazards of being immune suppressed during cold/flu season. Lunch is done, Jo is settled for the afternoon, I can catch up here and get some guitar time in. 65º, supposedly on the way to 81º. And windy, windy, windy. It sucks and blows at the same time.
