Re: wind. I got one pile of crap burned before it started blowing again and raining. I'll take that as a victory in the "yard work" department. I'm going to drink this here cup of tea I made and then strap my ass to a vacuum cleaner for Phase II of Saturday's work schedule.

We are in the midst of a bonafide blizzard. We got a couple inches of snow overnight but this morning things were pretty quiet until around 9, when snow started falling in good measure. Then the winds kicked up and for the past four hours or so we have been getting just hammered -- between 1 and 2 inches of snow per hour, winds gusting to 45 mph, events canceled like crazy and a forecast that calls for this to continue past midnight. Snow totals in the Twin Cities could hit 15 inches. With all the wind, we'll have huge drifts, too.
SW Minnesota is in even worse shape, with all highways shut down, including Interstate 90. Hundreds of car wrecks.
Spring!

Yup. I just walked Breeze. He's that much recovered. He's not perfect and I didn't walk him far (about a mile), but you'd never know from watching him that he was just about down for the count on Monday. Something to be happy about.
I've been re-learning myself to play "Back Home Again In Indiana". Coupla new chords to slip in there that I didn't know twenty years ago when I first learned me the song. Now I gotta learn the words before I get deported.
I think this week I'm going to learn the original -- "Banks of the Wabash". It'd make a nice paring.
I also inserted a new patch into a slow leak I had in my version of "Moon River". It's holding air much better now.

All flights canceled at MSP International, which is extremely rare.

Less wind now, but more snow -- I can barely see the house across the street. This is really bad, haven't seen a car pass my house in an hour.

About two feet of snow now and about 35 cm freezing rain tomorrow. Good thing we didn't put the shovels away. Yuk.

Winds back up, snow swirling like Wondra flour -- sounds like Kate has similar conditions. Lonnie would hate this, but he would make it to the gig on time. God, I miss that guy.

Snow drift at our side door is about 4 feet high, can't get that door open. Sidewalks have been shoveled twice, you can't tell by looking at them. Cars will have to be dug out and moved by 8 in the morning so the plow can get by. We have a real MN blizzard on our hands, DaWife hopes it is the last one we have to suffer. Not that we are uncomfortable, the house is warm and the larder full but there has been lightning and thunder and that always leaves the possibility of a power loss.

It's windy, rainy, chilly and nasty here, but fortunately all the snow you folks are talking about is a few miles north of us. Not far north, but far enough. I honestly feel sorry for you folks up north.
