Good morning. I have a follow-up appointment with my surgeon at 9:00 and two old friends will come for coffee in the backyard at 3:00. I'll make dinner, work on a writing project and tackle a few other chores.
Because teachers have voted to have a a walkout, Diane's school will be closed on Thursday and maybe Friday. She'll be home. That'll be odd.
Have a good day.

"Supposed to thet to 100 here today. Ye Gods."
I remember when I thought 100 degrees was really hot.

Good morning.
Just got back from the eye doctor. My pressures are good and cataracts are "Nothing to worry about". I'll take that. Going to try some cheaper eye drops just to see if they'll keep the pressure down now that it's normal but if not I just go back to the ones that seem to work.
One of my fans was in the waiting room and reminded me to practice up for the open mic next week.
Supposed to rain today but hasn't started here yet. Have a good Tuesday. Think I'll take the day off and maybe practice.

Another sunny day that will probably get. Into the 60s. The tulip festival is almost over and this year the tulips cooperated. Fields and fields of color, and miles an miles of cars to look at them. I'm looking for hay, poor planning last year., but the mowing is down for a couple days.
Better days y'all

Sun is shining and I am photosynthesizing! Off to practice with Straightback Chair this afternoon. We play the McHaffey Opera House in Eldon Iowa this Saturday evening.
For those that do not know, the house that resides in the background of the Grant Wood painting, "American Gothic", is located in Eldon, IA. The house (which still stands) is now part of a museum dedicated to the most famous house in Eldon, IA. Have a good one!

As usual, I've been up. Might make 57º, with good rain chance.
Got Carrie to school, had coffee with a friend. Been to get a lot of hairs cut.
Sister-in-law Jo is now back at the local nursing home for the daycare again, thanks to the new van. I'm back to my routine of having Tuesdays and Fridays to myself. Ahh.....
So now it's shower time, then back out to Post Office and grocery.

Mike Hey Mike, Average high temp here for the next 10 days is about 72 with only a couple days of showers. Why did you go south? I am enjoying the weather. After work yesterday I went for a short bike ride, did some yard stuff and took the dogs to the bark park. Life is good. We got a Traeger grill last week and cooked a chicken. It turned out great, the best chicken I have eaten.

Got the archtop bound yesterday. Off to Chicago for a day for a fundraiser for an agency my kid works with. Main reason I always go is that they hold it at the Green Mill jazz club and there is always a hot combo with a good guitar player.

Doing laundry. Got salsa fresca made. Got marinade for grilled swordfish almost done. Just need to add the beer, then drink what's left in the can. Soon I'll be loading up guitar, Ubass, and gear to take to an extra chorus rehearsal. Regular rehearsal went long yesterday, with the director saying maybe we wouldn't need today. Well, I could have predicted that we still do. Mr. H is at his Old Farts Coffee for the first time in a while. Too many Tuesday medical appointments have interfered with that. We both have dental appointments this week. He has an eye injection next week and followup and refraction in Tucson post-cataract surgery the following week. Many chorus activities for me that week, ending with the big concert. Our lives as old farts.

I re-affirmed today that my supervisor is nuts, so when I met with her via computer this afternoon I just said “yes” a lot to make the meeting end. It worked. She’s only been around 5 years, I’ve been around since the mid-nineties, She has no idea what we do, is retiring in a year, and I’ll be around for a while. She’s a lame duck, and many of us are happy.

And some work done on my Moms little Mercedes that I had to schedule a couple of weeks out, because the one independent euro repair shop with a good rep is busy, busy, busy. But yeah, kind of missed the call on the weather. Oh well, the beers are cold and we got cable here so... Mike
