Let's not forget a few sandwiches St. Louis is famous for:
BBQ Pig Ear Brain Sandwich And the St. Paul Sandwich (which is vegetable egg foo yong without the gravy between two slices of white bread with mayo)
Boy I'm glad I don't live there anymore.

Was just in a place in "downtown" Montezuma, IA called just a small town grill. They have a version of this called a Fatman's Special. Fried tenderloin topped with pulled pork, bacon, and pepperjack cheese on a pretzel bun. I opted for the brisket Philly sandwich instead.

How did St. Paul get blamed for THAT? I think it was actually the local Catholic Church that came up with it so the Catholics had something they could eat at the Chinese restaurant on Friday's during lent. At least that's the rumor. Nobody seems to know for sure. I can remember watching a show where they went to every major city to try the local sandwiches they were famous for. I had only been living in St. Louis for a short time and those were the 3 that made their list. I was repulsed by the whole thought of being in Missouri from that day forward.

How did St. Paul get blamed for THAT? Umm... that's the Apostle Paul, Bill. See 2 Corinthians, 2:16-18, "I am so sorry you are unable to find fresh Pig Ears in the Temple Market, but I will bring you the fixings for a sandwich I just came up with that is simply marvelous. Meanwhile, keep up the good work. Sorry to hear about William the Leper, but his left arm and the missing foot await him in heaven."

The benefits of being in the grocery business for 13 years.....got to read some great labels.
Vienna Sausage and especially Armor Potted Meat Food Product.
Both contain some of these same delectable ingredients.....
Mechanically separated chicken. As opposed to ripping the bird to pieces with your bare hands.
And the Potted Meat contains partially de-fatted cooked pork fatty tissue AND partially de-fatted cooked beef fatty tissue.

With an order for a group, it's really common to have the meat served like that on the fish. Yum!
