Good morning. It'll be clear and hot here, as days in late June almost always are. I'll be going walking soon and then I'll do a little yard work. Enjoy your day.

I didn't roll out of bed early enough for a cool walk. I'm thinking maybe the mall today. A very small mall, so it takes several laps. Thanks to the pizza thread, we'll be having a homemade white pizza tonight. Not feeling like grocery shopping, so toppings are whatever we have: black olives, sun dried tomatoes, onions, spinach?

Heading to Santa Barbara at 10 am. Meeting with friends to go see Dark Star Orchestra, America’s favorite Grateful Dead tribute band( or so it seems) at the Libbey Bowl in Ojai, a city where Birkenstocks are manly footwear, and I saw Krishnamurti scold the audience many years ago.

It’s a beautiful day for Vinton’s big annual celebration today. Thinking of Marty and his family.

Got a lot done this morning -- got the car washed, went to the bank, then parked at a free shuttle lot next to Target and rode a bus to the incredible car show at the fairgrounds, which was overwhelming, actually, and I probably walked only 5 percent of the property. Just cars everywhere. I stopped at the Kindig-It Design transporter, where they had three gorgeous cars, a '27 Ford hot rod, a '57 Corvette, and an insane '66 Nova. Also had a snappy footlong hot dog, and watched a flight of T-6 Texans do several flyover passes.

Breakfasts done, mid/upper 60s, not much laze so sunshine, can see three boats out on the water, looks like no swell at all. As typical, probably a light shower or some mist that kind of approaches that later this afternoon.

It has been an excellent day so far. Farmer's Market gig went slick as snot. First gig where all the unplugged items were in play. No problems at all. The FM was in the town we lived in for 30 years. Lots of old friends and lots of external validation. Then drove to Burlington for a big Farmer's Market with great music. Rained out. But we have the rest of the weekend in BURLINGTON! On the way home tomorrow we stop off in Montpelier for Foodaroo, a food truck festival. This is the life. And still replaying the James and McCartny YouTube in my mind That was perfect!

They are both first rate, but I have to give the edge to the second one.
