Ending a four-day weekend here. Great break for my wife. Second monday from tomorrow she'll start giving exams, then be done till late sept.
They'd moved two holidays to this past thurs/fri, planning from a couple years ago--it was supposed to facilitate the opening of the olympics. There's a fair bit of comment online that the gov't should just blow it off completely, instead of their "probably next summer" stance. Who knows...

 Good morning! These two darlings are stirring. It’s a Sunday morning pancake-making sunrise. We had a fun day yesterday with swimming, a blind-folded candy identification contest followed by a snuggle on the couch movie night. Their world is changing as their dad moves out next weekend and they begin the life of shared custody. 😢 Seems so unfair—sweet innocent bystanders. I will do all I can to be there for them and their momma. May your Sunday be blessed, Friends. ❤️ |

Going for my usual Sunday morning drive in the Country and then playing at a jam this afternoon. It's been a whirlwind of a weekend.
I posted my "Lar" Monthly update thread this morning. It felt good to write one that didn't talk about how miserable and angry I am. That's not to say that I still don't have those feelings, I do. They are just not as all consuming as they once were. I am glad for that.

Good morning. We'll be leaving late this morning for the higher country near Flagstaff. There's still some packing to do. I'm sure the cooler temperatures will be pleasant but I think mostly I want a change of scene. Have a good day.

Well the failed shopping plan for yesterday is happening today, right after breakfast at the Little Oven. Dinner tonight will be what ever looks good behind the meat counter. I do plan on making some chili this week.
Got a customer this afternoon just before nap time.

We're going back over to the lake for dinner with my niece again tonight. Fried chicken, corn on the cob. About as summer as it gets.
It's 143 in the shade outside and 100% humidity. About as summer as it gets.

Thanks to some advice you gave a few weeks back about not overwatering plants, my roses are now thriving. I was one of those people killing my plants with kindness by watering them every day. The leaves had turned yellow and droopy. I now water once per week and not at all if it has rained during the week. The leaves on my roses are green and the blooms are beautiful. Of course, I have cried on those roses a few times, so maybe that was really the secret. LOL! Thanks.  |
