I can’t see the picture, but by chance did they fish the Kickapoo River? From what i’ve Seen of it, it looks like a great fishing river. Too bad, it's a fine photo -- can others not see it, as well? Their guide steered them away from the Kickapoo, muddy and home to non-desirable sportfish. They moved from stream to stream today. I’ve spent a couple of days canoeing on the Kickapoo with my daughter and her family. It’s a pretty river and we had a nice time but, as their guide advised, a little on the muddy side. We didn’t fish but it didn’t seem like a great trout stream to me.

I've seen it, but from 50 yards. From that vantage point it looked like a deep river for its size. I had no idea it wouldn't be a good fishing river.

I’m guessing one could catch lots of fish on the Kickapoo, it’s just that they may not be trout. I think that’s what the guide meant.

Elderdottir and SIL spent most of today on Driftless Area trout streams -- this was part of their catch (and release): I can’t see the picture, but by chance did they fish the Kickapoo River? From what i’ve Seen of it, it looks like a great fishing river. I can’t see it, either.

I bet there are quite a few smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye in there.

We had our canoe/kayak weekend on the St Croix all planned. Turns out that was the weekend we spent in the ICU. Ah, well.
