Enjoy a birthday dinner of roast squirrel and, maybe, a little cake. Or a big cake, if you prefer.

On this date many, many years ago, a child named Rob was born. Birds sang in the trees while the gophers danced in their burrows. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Thank you, all! I was born in 47 and I am now 74. That's meaningless information.

It is also information that will only last a year. People are being vaccinated, and while safety measures are still in place they are lessening somewhat, spring is coming and for your birthday I'm giving you a map of the Indiana Tenderloin Trail. You live near G, correct? www.onlyinyourstate.com/indiana/tenderloin-trail-indiana/Enjoy! And have a happy birthday.

Yes, I live about a mile from G, the Oasis Diner, a famous tenderloin spot that I have always liked. I had one there this winter and was disappointed. The breading was floating off in grease and the meat was tasteless. Other locals on Facebook still rave about the Oasis so maybe I just caught them on a bad day.

I can vouch for Nine Irish Brothers & Nicks. The Oasis looks cool.
