A huge, slow-roasted lamb shank with glorious mahogany-colored gravy, rice pilaf, tabouli, Lebanese salad and pita bread.
Ho-hum, the Wednesday lunch special at Zakia Deli.

Green meatballs with green mashed potatoes and mixed greens washed down with a big Green River. As a longtime bachelor, I never have any trouble finding green food in the fridge, even if it wasn't green when first placed there.

Leftover walleye and french fries from the Culver's three piece dinner I bought last night. I intentionally ordered the big dinner with today's lunch in mind.

How do you reheat the fish? I've had best success with wrapping it loosely in foil and popping it in a 325 oven for 15, 20 minutes.

Actually, I am doing corned beef with whisky glaze, soda bread, cabbage, and roasted fingerling potatoes.

Coincidentally, that is the very same picture they use to advertise the salad.

Will probably do that again. I just take the chill off. I'm no chef. I eat cold pizza at times because I am too lazy to heat it.

I do all I can to keep the Culver's crust/batter as is -- nuking makes it soggy, in my experience. p.s. I enjoy cold pizza too, for breakfast, even!

As a child, I thought soda bread had bubbles.

Brown and serve sausages, along with pancakes topped with butter and maple syrup. And of course coffee.

A well toasted English muffin with butter, crunchy peanut butter and a slice of smokehouse cheddar on top.
Don't knock it until you try it.
Washed down with a unsweetened Key Lime sparkling water.

Toasted bagels with a little Marmite and hummus. A Paul McCartney recommendation, not a personal one though. I added a cucumber flourish. Washed down with tea. Yum!

I read this post without looking at who posted it and thought WTF. Then I noticed it was James, never mind, he's British and perfectly normal.
