I'm awake. My wife's sister and family arrived safely last night to spend a few days with us. We always have fun when they are here.
Happy Thanksgiving to the Yank contingent. Hope the rest are well as well.

Good day! Twenty-five crisp degrees here in the Twin Cities, and 20 in northernmost Wisconsin, where the girls and I are headed shortly.
Youngerdottir is feeling not well, alas, has been coughing and sniffling like crazy, but she wants to press ahead regardless. She vegged out last night by renting a DVD -- her choice was "Breakfast at Tiffany's," which she had never seen before. My kids surprise me with their taste sometimes! (Audrey Hepburn sure makes that nasty little Stella sound good on "Moon River," btw ...)
Hope everyone has a great day, and safe travels to those on the road.

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all you 'mericans. I wish a happy and safe day for you all. Give yourselves a hug from me.
The cub and I are off to court this morning. Her lawyer doesn't seem to have made any headway with the crown. Possibly we will have to do it all again next month.
Thankful that the Crown doesn't have a gun. He's nuts enough armed with his robes. He's apparently furious that the first charges were dropped and wants to "get" her on this one. The deal is probably not going to work out. Our lawyer says the Crown has lost it in the past few years - he wants to win every case no matter what the circumstances and yells at the judge in court, follows her down the hall yelling at her when he disagrees with her decisions. I think he might have a teensy drug problem.
Anyway. Time to dig out the car and throw the accused into it. See you all later.
Happy days!

Good morning and happy Thanksgiving. I've got the whole family and then some here so it should be good eating with fresh jelled cranberry sauce to turkey and jalapeno dressing and pecan pies to close it out for the Cowboy game.
Dan--got the check in yesterday so I hope to get the guitar over to UPS or Fed-X tomorrow. Thanks.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
I'm sitting here, on the group W bench, sipping a fine high altitude Kona coffee I roasted four days ago. The rest of the family, (My Mom from Palm Desert CA, Anita, and Katie, and the two weiner pups, are still snoozing.
We are having the family over for the usual turkey carnage, but I'm not cooking. Nope! Whole foods is cooking for us and right now it feels great! See you on the flip side.
Go Ducks. Mike

Mike, I was just thinking about Arlo trying to go to the dump on Thanksgiving. Remember it was a typical case of blind justice.

Good mornin'!
Brrrr!! 12 frosty degrees when I rolled out this morning.
I've been up since 5:30 helping make preparations for the feast. Now the whole house smells of roasting turkey and pumpkin pie.
I love Thanksgiving.
Have a good 'un!
Tom

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Time to get the turkey out and up to room tempish before it goes in the oven in an hour. Then I'll pre-peel the taters and put them in some water in the fridge until it's time to cook 'em. A good tip I read about this year. That way, you get the peeling out of the way early and don't have to deal with it when the pressure's on! It's just started to snow - changing over from rain/drizzle to the light, fluffy stuff. It looks beautiful, especially considering that I am not going to have to drive anywhere the rest of the day (already went out and got the papers). I am looking forward to having the kids over, cooking for them, watching football and movies, and generally vegging out - between the cooking. Roy, glad you received the check earlier than I had expected! Enjoy the day with your kin. Take care everyone. Todd, good luck with the turkey skin.

Good Morning
Very soon now my place will be full of people, think I'll go to my shop, just for a little while. If I glue something up today I will be a day ahead and can finish the repair tomorrow. The turkey won't be ready until 4:00 so I have timeuitar to play with my tools and guitar.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. I sure miss the four day weekend since I've moved here, but we did an early Thanksgiving with my family down in Seattle over Veteran's day weekend so I got my annual turkey feed in.
Sekhmet, I can't believe how this is dragging on. What a rotten thing to do to a cub.
All the best everybody,
Paul

Morning, all. Happy Thanksgiving.
The snow kid of petered out. The rain was a big one, but by the time it turned to snow we hardly got an accumulation. Nothing on the roads. Still dusting out there, bu the worst is over.
I hear the St. Laurent valley is going to get the worst of it. Not too far from you, sek. Be careful.
Going over to my daughters for turkey day. She's officially announcing to the family she's pregnant. That'll be joyous. But my wife's sister is just found out to have a very nasty cancer. So, there's good news-band news. That's kind of the way of things.
(There's still some stickiness on the keyboard from the peanut butter and honey open-faced sammidge I had last night. . . ., yuk. You just can't control where that honey is going to go.)

Back from court. Thank you Paul.
They will drop the charges. So, for being innocent of everything Rachel has only has to make 13 court appearances, spend five days in a federal penitentiary and 2 days in county jail, lose her job, have to live with her mother for a year and a half, have a 10 pm curfew for 6 months and pay a $100 bribe. I wonder what they would have done if she was guilty? She'll be free of these charges on December 6th provided that she comes up with the bribe. Oh freedom.
Thankful for this beautiful day nonetheless.
