Rainy and chilly here, but tomoro, the weatherpersons say, we shall experience temps above 70, for the first time in SIX MONTHS.
The man on the radio says it's Urp Day, so I have been belching as often as possible.

Good morning. A not-very-cold front is coming through. It's already breezy and we may get 45 MPH winds. Time for a walk. Enjoy your day.

Sunny and warm here on the outside, same weather as usual inside the clinic.

Morning. Cool and cloudy here. Couldn't hear much but got a little guitar in last night to keel the calluses up.
The order backlog just went out to 24 weeks which is a new record. This is typically our slow season. A local website guy has been pestering me about redesigning my whole website to be more mobile friendly and seems shocked I'm still in business given my horrible website. I'm thinking about hiring him and designing a web page that pops up and says "GO THE F**K AWAY"" in a scrolling banner with maybe a nice picture of truck buried in a snow drift.

Good morning.
44F with rain, high of 56F.
Early Doc appointment, labs, 10 minutes in/out. Then to the Pharmacy because they gave me the wrong test strips for my meter. Had to go online to see what ERROR 4 meant. The manual does not tell you.

I think "Go to Home Depot, buy a door and shove it up your ass" would make more of an impact.

There's a fire near Flagstaff in an area I know well. High winds have made it hard to get the fire contained and there'll be more high wind today. It's been a dry spring so everything is ready to combust. I hate to see this.

It's been a dry spring so everything is ready to combust. I hate to see this. I’ve got an old girlfriend and her husband who live up there and are just blocks away from the evacuation zone. Hope they can contain it soon. Another day, need to mow but the grass is too wet. Supposed to get more rain this afternoon, but the weekend looks clear. I recieved the new wheels for my mid 80’s road bike, thinking off heading into town to see if I can fit 32 mm tires in the frame. If not the 32s, then 28s. Larger volume of air, cushier ride. Mike

The matinee went great so I am pumped for opening night. If you are in the area, tonight, 7:00 PM, "James and the Giant Peach" at the Warren H.S. Theater. It is a rollicking fun show with great music. It is based on a kid book by the same author that wrote Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory, Roald Dahl, but, as is often the case, a kid story ends up being a great musical that is appreciated more by adults than the original target audience. This show has a A+ score.

You’re not a direct-to-consumer business. The builder clients you deal with directly know who you are and what good work you do for them. You don’t need to be on Anji’s List More trouble than it’s worth. These web guys don’t understand what it takes to build a business in a mature industry.

Made appointments to get the second Moderna booster today for us both. The last one didn't bother either of us that Tylenol didn't resolve and we are traveling next week.

"Made appointments to get the second Moderna booster today for us both. The last one didn't bother either of us that Tylenol didn't resolve and we are traveling next week."
I got Pfizer. The pharmacist who gave me the shot said that if I hadn't had problems with the previous three shots, I probably wouldn't with this one. I don't know how reliable that generalization is but in my case it was accurate.

Taking a day off after busy season. It's that time of year where since the temperature is on the upswing, I find myself asking, "Can I wear shorts today?" Whereas at the same temperature but in the fall, I find myself asking, "Can I wear a sweater today?"

We just gave in and turned on the A/C for the first time this season. Initial testing indicates all is well, but since it's still 75F in the house at 11:30A, we won't really know until later in the day. So glad it seems to be working properly, as parts and labor are hard to get.
Had 10 people at a monthly lunch yesterday, more than were showing up before we cancelled it due to Omicron. Five of us participate in a weekly Zoom chat and it was so nice to see each other in 3 dimensions. One of those I had never met in person.
Our HOA is also resuming monthly dine-outs in May. I've told my church choir director that I'll be at next week's rehearsal. Either things are getting back to normal or we're exercising bad judgment.

I made the decision yesterday morning that I wanted to lease a Toyota Rav 4 to replace my stolen Sante Fe. It has considerably less cubic footage for cargo but since it will only be my equipment that I am hauling to gigs, it has plenty enough space. I went online and saw the Rav I wanted. It was RUBY RED PEARL. Gorgeous!
Later in the day, Scott and I walked into a Toyota dealership that I am very familiar with and had done business with for many years buying and/or leasing vehicles. The place was usually bustling with activity. I was bracing myself in preparation of having several salespeople rush toward us. Not the case.
The place was quiet. There was one New car salesman and one used car salesman. It felt sad.
The new car salesman greeted us and asked how he could help us. I told him that I am here to lease the Ruby Red Rav4 that I saw online. He said, “Are you willing to wait SIX TO EIGHT MONTHS for it? What? I couldn’t believe it.
He told us he had a red Highlander. Beautiful vehicle. He also told us that if we bought it, we couldn’t have it for at least two weeks as they need to keep one at the dealership to show people. I would get the vehicle when another Highlander came in. I asked would other people be allowed to test drive it? He said, “Yes.” I said, “NO.” Not buying a brand new car and have other people drive it.
I asked if they had any low mileage used Rav’s. They did. They had 2019 RUBY RED PEARL RAV with only 17,000 miles. I drove it and it handled beautifully. It is gorgeous and I am happy.
Have a great day, everyone.
