Morning. Cool and cloudy here. Couldn't hear much but got a little guitar in last night to keel the calluses up. The order backlog just went out to 24 weeks which is a new record. This is typically our slow season. A local website guy has been pestering me about redesigning my whole website to be more mobile friendly and seems shocked I'm still in business given my horrible website. I'm thinking about hiring him and designing a web page that pops up and says "GO THE F**K AWAY"" in a scrolling banner with maybe a nice picture of truck buried in a snow drift. You’re not a direct-to-consumer business. The builder clients you deal with directly know who you are and what good work you do for them. You don’t need to be on Anji’s List More trouble than it’s worth. These web guys don’t understand what it takes to build a business in a mature industry. It's hard to reconcile Majorminor and "mature industry" in the same thought. |

New car buying has gotten crazy. Mike We were told it was because of the shortage of computer chips. According to the salesman we spoke to, there are cars ready and waiting but no chips available to put into them. |

According to the salesman we spoke to, there are cars ready and waiting but no chips available to put into them. We third to buy a Rav 4 plug-in hybrid last year. The dealership would get about two cars a month. They wouldn’t let us put a deposit on it, it was first come, first served. We were on a list to be called wheneve4 they got one, along with a bunch of other people, it takes ant least forty minutes to drive from our house to the dealer, every time they called, the car would be sold before we could get there. Now they have changed the policy, they will take a deposit and we’d just get in the que, but we’ve decided to wait until it’s not so crazy, Anita’s old Camry is ugly, but it runs fine. Mike |
