Looks like rain. Alexa says no chance. Alexa says a lot of things, though. Coffee tastes extrie good this morning. May you and your goose hang loose.

Morning. Running on about 4 and half hours sleep. In the office for a bit then off to float the Bitterroot River. The gas station was a clusterf**k this morning because security and crew for Yellowstone were starting their day there due to a local shoot for the series. Be nice when those guys are out of here.

Sunny and hot as we continue to ramp up to the start of the semester.
Adam comes home tomorrow from his research internship at Cornell. He says he wants some real BBQ as soon as he lands.

Last day of the great Minnesota fishing trip. I can't believe how many walleyes we've caught. The guides up here really know how to find and catch them. Yesterday we went as far north as we could and still be in Minnesota, we were rewarded with large walleyes and one gal on our boat pulled in a 36 inch Northern. I caught my first ever clam!

Mean ol' bear in NoDak, according to this headline in today's Fargo Forum:

You should never be cavalier around a Grizzly.
Hey that could be the hook for a song.
P.S. Watching the new season of Westworld on HBO. Pretty deep but really well done.

Good morning. I slept late because I could.
It'll be another mild day by our summertime standards. Wonderful wife and I will make a trip to the downtown library to stock up on books. Otherwise it will be a day of odds and ends.

Also driving across the Cheddar Curtain today to visit some of Melva's cousins (although it's almost a daily thing for us here to go to the Y or Fleet Farm. We can see Wisconsin from our house.)
Alexa is an annoying tattletale. I ordered a tshirt from Amazon as a surprise for Melva. Alexa showed a picture of it and announced it would be delivered today. Some surprise.

Took two different paths up the farm yesterday, one up another back. For the most part, crops look really good. All are on the late side, but it looks like you could walk across the top of some of the wheat fields they are so thick and the corn looks amazing. Beans never look all that good to me compared to wheat or corn, but for beans, they are thick and green and getting ready for that August growth spurt.
There will be food.

Well, it is possible to get up to the NW angle by water, Northern most point in the lower 48, which would have meant going west some for us. Going straightish north we hit the Canadian border at a point a little lower then the NW angle.

Good morning
75F-93F mostly sunny.
It was quite cool last night so we opened up the house. Pretty soon we will close it up and turn on the AC, gonna be a hot one today.
I got quite a bit of work done yesterday. So much that I almost missed nap time. Riley saved the day by coming down to the shop and reminding me.
Putting a set of Dazzo pickups in a Swartz guitar. The Dazzos are triangular shaped and if I can trim a bit off the corner of one of them I will get them perfectly placed.
Getting the K&Ks out was difficult, no room to work as it's semi lattice braced. I did get them out but not in working order. The saving grace was the large tail block with a big access port.

Moe's looks good -- is it? Moe's BBQ here in Auburn is pretty good, although I think there is better. We will be picking him up at the Birmingham airport, so we will stop at a Birmingham BBQ joint. My favorite, Johnny Ray's, recently closed . Birmingham is loaded with good BBQ, though, so we will just have to decide where to go.
