Good morning. It's just getting light and it should be a mild day by recent standards. Beyond taking a walk and working on various current projects, I don't have much planned.
Older daughter is honeymooning in Colombia and has been sending photos. They went to a soccer game and didn't get stomped. Medellin looks like a very pleasant city.
All's well.

Wednesday is Wednesday. Nothing humpy about it. Just another happy, stress free day. There was a fox in the backyard yesterday. Bright orangish red and he/she had stealthy movements down to an art form. Enjoy the day.

Good morning. I have nothing special planned for today, how crazy is that?
I suppose I could do some cleaning, maybe a little music, a nap, sound like an exciting day.

I never thought you'd make it there, epaul.

Good morning. 62F-83F sunny. Another nice day in gangland. Had way too many Fire, Police and Emergency sirens blasting by yesterday, also heard shots in the distance. We need to move and just a few miles makes all the difference. Same mix of people just without the drug users and gangster territorial attitude. East St Paul is getting to be a battle zone. Down to the shop.

Day three of the viral infection in my throat. Woke up at 5am with chills so bad my teeth were actually chattering.
This too shall pass.

Futzing around with my older Honda eu2000i generator. Hurricane season so...
Runs fine on full choke. Sputters and dies when off choke.
1. Removed carb & cleaned all parts including the tiny jets.
2. Tried to get at the fuel filter and realized that it is beyond my ken to extract the darn thing.
The result is it runs fine, better, on full choke, but still sputters and dies when off choke.
Remaining possible culprits: Air leak, fuel filter.

My attempts to learn some basic pentatonic blues are starting to pay off. I can finally loop a 12-bar blues and play a not-too-ridiculously childish improvised lead over it.

Pleasant weather here, low humidity, upper 70s temps, light breeze, some cloud cover -- the dogs and their walkers seem contented.
I had an enjoyable after-work couple of hours yesterday: I motored over to Morelli's to pick up some boxed Spanish vino on the last day of their latest sale, and also had the deli guy slice me some provolone and Genoa salami. Which I presented to my 84-year-old Italian barber at my next stop, his shop. Man, you would have thought I bought him a new car, and the rest of the staff was mighty happy, as well, as I had bought enough for them all to enjoy. Nothing like a cheese/salami roll-up at 4 p.m. to ward off the hungries. Then George proceeded to pretty up my hair and beard, but not so pretty that I would be harassed on the street or anything like that. As usual, we talked about cars and local restaurants. Plus I filled him in on Elderdottir's fishing junket to northern MN.
Post-beautification, I headed up to Culver's and scarfed a scoop of Red Raspberry frozen custard, and brought home one of their "new" Pepper Grinder Pub Burgers. I'll post a mini review on the Culver's thread later, need to get some work done now.

Not a good day so far. Can't stay standing for more than 5 min or so. Sitting is fine so that's what I'm doing but that doesn't help me get any work done. Time to call my PTs for another visit.

I'd love to get the chance to go up in the loft and see the rafters on this.

I'd love to get the chance to go up in the loft and see the rafters on this. You might be disappointed. It might be sheet roofing material over corrugated metal sheeting. That isn’t a barn, it’s a corn crib, or at least that’s what it looks like to me.

You mean, though, that you guess it's steel frame with corrugated steel sheets covering it? I assume it comes from the 40s-50s era of Quonset huts and bent sheet metal fabricating.

That's sad to hear. For the longest time I thought this song was by Jefferson Airplane. It was just a few years ago I learned who really performed it.
