I'm glad to hear you're on the mend after what sounds like an ordeal. I hope you heal rapidly.

Sent a card, would.visit in person, but heading to Chicago. Sue's mom.has been moved to hospice care and we need to get over there to see her. This on top of Sue winding up in the hospital last week with an infection. It hasn't been much fun around our house these last few weeks. Let Sue know we are thinking of her as well. Safe travels for you both.

Todd is one of the truly good guys anywhere, and we will all be glad to have him back when he is able to return.
Todd, friend, we are all in your corner. You will be in my prayers. Take care of yourself, and get well soon!

Todd, we didn't know. But, now we do. And last night we voted to cut your fine for missing practice on the 10th by $5. We want you to know the Duck Band is in your corner.
(and get well by our practice on the 29th, I don't know if we can swing you the same deal twice.)

Fiddlerinaand I just left the hospital after visiting with Todd. He sends greetings to everyone. We left as PT was coming in to have their way with him. Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids is entirely local and not connected with the larger Mercy organization. It’s run by the Sisters of Mercy as a local hospital and is often ranked as Iowa’s best hospital. The top three includes University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and Saint Luke’s in Cedar Rapids.
Todd is still pretty sleepy and a little confused but he’s way better and anxious to go home. I’m guessing he’ll be there for a couple of days at least. He’s talking but not a lot. He says he’s not in any pain but we think he’s on pain meds so…

Todd, hope you’re well in the blink of an eye. You deserve a rapid recovery. We look forward to your full recovery and return to our internet home.

Todd if you are reading this tell your caregivers about the British tea aficionado that had sampled every tea known except one which was made from Koala Bear hide by a reclusive convent run by the Sisters of Mercy in a remote part of Australia
After years of repeated attempts he was finally granted access to the convent for one hour to experience the legendary beverage.
After greeting him the mother superior served him a steaming cup. Involuntarily he gagged and spit it out. Embarrassed he meekly said “there was hair in that tea.”
The mother superior gently replied “yes, the Koala tea of Mercy is not strained.”

Oof. Koala tea of mercy. Do you need reminding that puns are the very lowest form of humor?

I went to see Todd again today. Taylor and Peyton were both there too. He sends greetings to everyone.
He is much better today. He’s been moved off the cardiac floor and down to 41-22 on the 4th floor. The PT there is doing much more to help, he really looks forward to PT. As I left they were prepping him for an MRI.
He’s in good spirits, can talk much better, and his sense of humor is returning. It was a good visit.

I went to visit Todd this evening and I can verify what Dub said. Todd said to tell everyone hi, and that he knows he's mending, but he still has a ways to go. I'm planning to visit again on Wednesday. Big discussion tonight was if he should shave (get shaved), I take that as a good sign.
