Good morning. Rainy and cool in Brooklyn this morning. I have to wake up some more and deal with an administrative hiccup with the 401K plan from my former employer. The level of apathy and incompetence among people who are supposed to be doing their jobs is startling, these days. Most likely this will entail at least 45 minutes on the phone later. Yeesh. Welcome to retirement.
Hey! Have a great day.

Good morning, everybody. I always have the same Thursday morning and I won't repeat what it consists of. I like my Thursday routine. Too much routine can be stifling but a little of it can be comfortable.
This afternoon, though, I get to stand in line at the Motor Vehicle Department as I continue my attempt to dispose of the motorcycle in our carport. This has tested my friendship with its owner but we'll stay friends.
Peace and good vibes.

Chawing down a cereal breakfast. Back to sort-of normal. Except I have a BAD sinus cold now. It amazes me how much GUNK my sinuses can produce in trying to shed this bug.

Lawns were mowed yesterday and they really look a deep green this morning. Must be the 7 ft of rain we have gotten in the last month. Breakfast awaits. I am drinking coffee using my Deluxe Waffle House mug. I keep expecting someone to hit me from behind with a chair. Enjoy the day. If you really want to enjoy it, don’t open that Plastic Ono video. Walk on by.

It's a great song. Avoid the visuals. Listen to the audio.

the Bachrach/Warwick coupling was magic.
Off work today so after a walk in the woods I intend to cut the grass, fill the softener tank with salt, and fix the world. The latter might take most of the afternoon.
Got wordle in 3, strands with one hint, and connections came pretty easy. Dementia fended off for one more day.

Had dinner last night with a friend who now resides in San Diego, we worked together for many years so there were a lot of stories to retell.
On my way home last night I noticed the beautiful, red, western sky, and thought to myself that tomorrow would be a beautiful day.
Well it's Tomorrow, it was raining when I got up, supposed to rain all day. I guess when you're in a drought situation, rain is a beautiful day.

Good morning. I'm exhausted, been really pushing myself physically the last few weeks with my birding hikes, home maintenance projects and fanatical bike riding. I think I'll probably go to ground today. Bittersweet feelings at the game last night. Last game as a season ticket holder, we'll go to more games as an occasional event, but it won't be quite the same. It was a great run, and it was nice to see Kuch get his 100th assist.
Have a great day.

Good morning. 41F-53F cloudy. Good but busy day yesterday. Got shop work done, one of my guitars sold and a trip to the Public Notary to get get documents signed for DaWife's retirement. Also a trip to the pharmacy but for some reason certain medications are in short supply these days. Probably a Democrat conspiracy. A little breakfast and then down tp the shop.

Sunny and chilly this morning, cloudy and breezy this afternoon. Normal April weather in a northern state where spring doesn't really arrive until May.
Desk work and dog tending whilst Dawn is on a lengthy Zoom meeting, to be followed by a trip to the gym. Granddaughters will be descending on us late afternoon whilst their Moms are at work.

Nothing on the calendar today, so a stop at the gym might be in order. And probably a trip to Costco.
Rocky's blood test came back yesterday showing his liver values are coming down (related to his oversensitivity to steroids). But he still needs to be on antibiotics for another couple weeks. His eyes on the other hand are doing very well and as of today, his physical activity restrictions are lifted.

Ken, I had the same feeling late last week. I'd overdone things and I was worn out. I've been loafing ever since.
But that'll get boring and I suspect I'll get back to overdoing it.

Lunch with our social club today. Choir practice tonight and I'm taking a guitar and stand, as we'll be practicing the song that I'm playing on this Sunday. Glad that at my advanced age I no longer play for the community chorus, for which I was lugging around a lot more gear a couple of times a week.
When playing my Ubass a couple of days ago I had a problem with the tuner not working right. Finally solved the mystery. No idea how or when this happened, but I only had one battery installed instead of two. I'll probably find a battery on the floor in some hidden spot. Now I've watched a couple of videos on how to change the strings and will be tackling that sometime soon.

The rain just kept coming down this morning. Living in a drought area, the sound of rain always makes one take pause even though we've had plenty this fall.

Good day, all. Busy Thursday here, been nonstop since I woke up it seems. First break I have had to sit in my office for a bit and answer emails and do some research. Lost a trivia contest at lunch because I misremembered a word in the lyrics of Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds". I told the crowd gathered that I blamed the heavy drugs I use when I listen to Bob Marley. I've never tried a drug in my life but it did seem to buy me some street cred and salvage some of my pride.
So it goes...

The Thoughts of Prison
Without physical practice - just words. Words that are understood with our intellect, and that ultimately keep us in the prison of thoughts.
