Good morning. Up for another birding outing with my fellow Audubon folks.
Last night I went through my guitar songbook and pulled out a bunch of tunes that will work better or at least as well on my octave mandolin. So, when I get home, I'll be practicing those tunes on the mando. Should keep me occupied. Have a great day folks.

Good morning. We'll have about 65-90 here.
I plan to mulch a couple of beds in the backyard. In the never-ending battle against weeds, I play Sisyphus. Later I'll put a rib roast in the smoker, provided the roast has thawed enough.
All's well. Enjoy your day.

Good morning. Hey! We made it to Saturday! The day of the week when the honeydo list is attacked with the vigor and ferocity of a rampaging koala bear. Need to get the AC tuned up, gonna be needing that for the next 7-8 months.
Have a good day doing whatever it is.

I'm also gonna do some birding today, but in the form of Tennessee hot chicken at Revival in St. Paul. Perhaps with biscuits, collards and fried green tomaters.

Went to the gym. I feel fabulous. Yesterday I washed up all of the clothing I bought "on wine" last weekend and I ironed them up this morning. Everything fit and the colors were as bright and beautiful as they looked online. I am ready for summer! Heading to Las Vegas next weekend. I booked two horseback riding tours at Red Rock Canyon. One at sunrise and one at sunset. We are also taking helicopter tours. One of the city at night and one of the Grand Canyon and then spending a day touring the Grand Canyon. Just booked our anniversary/birthday cruise for the Fall. We have jam-packed our summer with fun things to do. (Good thing I bought all of those new clothes.) LOL!
Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Dinner and a concert last night. Shrimp scampi in the kitchen and Billy Joel in the family room. This morning the chef is making eggs Benedict, which means that I will have a lot of cleanup. I just realized how many times we've had cured meats lately. Had pasta carbonara a couple of days ago. Went out for lunch to a sandwich place. I think we'll be going through detox after this.
Warm to hot weather is here for the next few months. So far we haven't turned on the A/C, but soon. And soon we'll have to start getting up early to get our walk done before breakfast.

People mentioning the AC reminded me I'd better check ours before it's needed. Think I might buy a tiny unit just for my office that has a low amp draw. Our other units are 10k BTU units and I don't want one that big in my office.

I dreary, chilly day, guess I'll go to Cedar Rapids this afternoon and make some music at the West Music jam.

Cool and cloudy in Brooklyn today. Having a lazy morning, although I did get up and make pancakes for Her Grace and myself. I should probably get out of the house for a while and have a constitutional. I believe in supporting the Constitution.
Found this recently. If only I had stuck with the accordion. Damn!
On edit: I have a CD of Kurt Larsen playing French-style cafe music on solo accordion. I used to play it for my son to help him fall asleep when he was a lad.

Opening was a hit! We must had an easy 400 in the auditorium and they all standing at the end (and encouraged by some timely "whoops" from the sound and light booth, were very responsive the entire show). It was a good show!
(and I didn't miss a cue...by much) (hey, I was running 16 mics plus lights, by much is good!)
Once more into the breech today

Chromatic button accordion. I only know one person who can play one of those. Beautiful. I enjoyed this video. Thank you for posting.

Sun is coming up on Kauai, just hitting the tops of the little mountain known locally as Puff, the Magic…beautiful, this looks like the nicest day we’ve had so far, and it’s the day we leave. Lots of rain this trip. Red eye tonight, hope I can get some sleep on the plane. Nita’s parents will pick us up tomorrow morning in San Diego, we will find someplace for breakfast, and then head back to the desert. Nita wants to head N on Weds, she is ready to be home. That’s it from Hawaii.

I'm back from Revival, brought home more food than I ate there, OMG. The Tennessee Hot chicken was super tasty and right at my limit of heat, brought a tear or two to my eye. They have a hotter level called Poultrygeist that must be punishing. No collards or fried green tomatoes on the brunch menu, so I went with mustard slaw, which was excellent and would feed four, I swear.
