Hump Day for some. Just another day for others.
Have a pleasant one.
Time to make some coffee.

Good morning. Hot today, hot tamale. We have an evaporative cooler on our patio that will be getting a workout.
I've mentioned that a friend's motorcycle has been parked in our carport for over a decade, even though he can no longer visit and he has wisely given up motorcycles. With his cooperation we donated it to the local classical music radio station. Today it will be hauled off. It took a lot more effort to reach this point than I would have liked but I'll be glad to have this chore done.
All's well. Enjoy your day.

Good morning.
55F-76F sunny.
Did errands and chores yesterday so nothing today, so far, but shop time.
Yesterday was warm and humid. Simon was in his element, sprawled out on the front walk in direct sun napping. He looks like someone threw a dead cat on our walk. Riley liked yesterday also but being dark furred he chose to stay in the shade.

I'm awake. Really. I even have laundry started. High today will be 105 and tomorrow 109. We have no reason to go outside today except for our walk. But we're meeting an old friend for lunch tomorrow at one of the El Charro locations. A long time Mexican restaurant, supposed to be the oldest one in the country run by the same family, except we're not going to the original. www.elcharrocafe.com/history/

Good morning, all.
It is raining at the moment, but it is supposed to clear later this morning.
Nothing on the agenda other than clinic and going to my 4-year-old grandson's T-ball practice after work.

The whole Minnesota family drove down to Chicago yesterday to spend a few days with the Chicago family for an early father's day-daughter's birthday-new job celebration. We love that our kids enjoy getting together. Strawberry rhubarb crumble will be on the menu.

Off to the KIA dealer to get free fuse harness installed to insure my 12-year-old Sorrento with 220,000 trouble-free miles on it doesn't spontaneously turn into a blazing fireball. It does deserve a hero's death, as it has been such a great car. But it is solid, rust-free, quiet, and runs as smooth as a mouse on butter, so it still has years to go before entering Valhalla.

Morning. Driving to Spokane a little later today. Have some customers and vendors to see tomorrow. Should be back home tomorrow night. My Hotel is about 200 yards from a Krispy Kreme so I expect about this time tomorrow I'll be watching hundreds of fresh donuts float by in a river of oil as I wait to pick up several boxes to hand out during the day. I find myself wondering if it's still OK to show up with a box of of heart damage and diabetes these days. My brain says probably not but....like.....warm fresh donuts yo.

There is a lot of corn in Eastern Iowa that was knee high by the 4th of June.
Back home from a quick visit to the dentist. I had a root canal done last week, today they put a steel pin in the tooth and sealed it up. A 15 minute job.
I celebrated with breakfast at Oscar's.

If you don't have a Krispy Kreme near home buy as many boxes as you can fit in the truck. I hear the black market markup on them is quite good.

Wow, office work already done for the day. Time to practice for real retirement.
Do a late breakfast of yogurt and oatmeal. A trip to the bark park, water the veggies, put Hank Hawk (our old decoy) in the cherry tree to hopefully keep other birds away, pick some fresh strawberries, and maybe mow the lawn.

Get a big net to cover your donuts. June 6 is "Secure Your Load Day." A campaign started in Washington State to prevent highway injuries from crap falling off trucks.

Continuing Professional Education this morning at the ballpark, followed by a game. I just love hearing and singing our National Anthem. The dinner today picked a key lower than any I've heard performed in public, but it was very good. What's up with the whole Automated Ball-Strike system?

Those things are more addictive than crack cocaine. And I love them. Flashback: Krispy Kreme expanded into the Twin Cities in 2002, but fizzled quickly, closing all six local shops within a few years. Target also carried Krispy Kreme in the early 2000s. Seems like Dunkin' is doing fine, though.
