Good morning. All this rain we were supposed to get this week has not materialized. At least not as much as forecasted. We've gotten some but more is needed. Anyway, I've got some shopping and honey do's ahead of me for today. Have a great day folks.

Good morning. It's overcast. The Weather Service predicts "isolated sprinkles."
Wordle was interesting. After two guesses I concluded that there were no words like that. Then it came to me.
My day will include my Zoom social event, a grocery run, a church committee meeting and dinner preparation. Peace.
Wordle 1,090 3/6*

I'm up, showered, dressed, having coffee and trying to decide what's for breakfast.
Going up into the low 80s later, currently a comfortable 69°. Will be sitting beside Her Grace today for moral support as she puts the finishing touches on a couple of projects. Last day of school, nothing else except four State Regents exams in the next week or two.
Some friends gave me a belated retirement gift of three hefty bottles of "twinkle formula" ink—black coal, purple sparkle, blue sparkle, including ten converters with snorkel fillers, but no pens! I found the brand and ordered three inexpensive fountain pens (color-coordinated with the inks) from the same manufacturer that are compatible with these converters, so there will be that experiment later today. And some guitar time, too.
Onward and upward. Enjoy your day.

6:30 this morning, I was awake, but still in bed, when I heard what sounded like the sound a backhoe bucket makes when it's working.
Decided it was time to get up. My neighbor's yard was full of people, trucks, a crane, an excavator, tracked skid steer, etc, etc.
The house is being, I guess for lack of a better term, rebuilt. When finished, the roof and basement will be about all that remains of the original. Today they are putting in a new septic system.
I went out to supervise the project but they have everything under control. The new precast tank is already in the ground and connected to the house.
I'm gonna open my big rock tumbler this morning a see how the rocks inside look.

Cloudy, muggy, thunderstorms predicted.
High points of the day are an annual checkup with my CPAP person and a much-needed haircut. Maybe some workshop time in between.

Good morning.
63F-83F cloudy.
Retirement party for DaWife tomorrow night.
Weather news, Crosslake, MN had severe weather yesterday and Crosby, MN very severe weather with damaging winds and hail. Crosslake is the town nearest Uncle Bill's place on Fox lake. About a ten minute drive into town. Bill will be going up tomorrow afternoon to check his place and if there is damage the girls won't be going there for the week. If that is the case there will be other weeks this summer but the girls all had to take time off work for this week. Bummer.

Dr appointment today at 11:00. Hoping all goes well. I stood in the shower today which probably doesn’t sound like much of an accomplishment, but it was. The shower bench was still there for moral support, but I threw caution to the wind and rose to the occasion. Little things are big things.
It should hit 90° today with thunderstorms.

"I just don't know what to do with myself" -Dusty Springfield
For the first time in four years I am off work for four days in a row. I've already mowed the lawn, filled the water softener brine tank, walked the dog, reset the mousetraps, changed the furnace filter, and now I'm sitting in the back yard enjoying an almost impossibly pleasant breeze under the shade of my thirty foot spruce tree.
Ever since John Bushouse posted the YouTube video of Jeff Daniels singing "That's How I Got To Memphis" I've been a little obsessed with the song. All but the Daniels take on it are a little too twangy for my taste, but there's something compelling about both the impressionist-country lyrics and the chord progression.
I've been playing the j45 Farida these days because I love the sound, the size, and the neck. I have settled on tuning it down a step and capoing at 2 until I can have the nut professionally fixed.
IceSha has been going through a false pregnancy the past several days. She's nesting and carrying stuffed animals around and moaning. Poor girl.
I've been trapped into acting against my better judgement. Because my jeep is down the only available option for carrying my route was to borrow a coworker's wrangler. I'm thankful, but hate using something I can't afford. It's worth more than 20K. And yesterday I let a mailbox door hit the side of the jeep. It tore through a protective vinyl wrap and scratched the paint. Now I'm down $400 I wasn't counting on to repair it.

Morning.
Volunteered to help grill burgers for some summer youth program party this afternoon. Estimates are for possibly a hundred kids. I suggested we pick up a couple pony kegs, but it didn't fly.

Sunny, warm, coffee, and more isolating. I’m still negative, so there is that. I was not able to get our in ground sprinklers fixed yesterday so I had to call the pros in, can’t get an appointment until July 10. Plus money. Looks like we are watering by hand until then. I know, first world problems.
Will mow the back this am then go for a bike ride.

I have annual CPAP appointments also. They seem fairly unnecessary. "Your readout says you are faithfully using your CPAP. How are you sleeping?" In fact, the whole idea of needing a prescription to pay (or have insurance pay) big bucks for the machine and its overpriced hoses, filters, etc. seems silly. IT PUMPS AIR IN YOUR NOSE! Should cost $75 off the shelf at Walmart. The prescription and the sleep study to prove you need it? It's not morphine or fentanyl. If someone wants to pump air in their nose, let them. Yes, they could become addicted to air, but most of us are.

Fortunately the NP who does my CPAP appointments is friendly (we always discuss our dogs)
The company that supplies my CPAP machine and other supplies is always diligent. If I don't immediately respond to their messages for quarterly orders, they barrage me with texts, emails, and phone calls. Looking out for my best interests they are. (Actually they are looking to bill big bucks to Medicare)

Back from the doctor appointment. Everything went well. I can ditch the boot and go to a shoe with a compression sock on that foot. On the 19th I start 6 weeks of PT at the same building where I see the doctor. Right now it is 3 times a week but I don’t think insurance will go for that so it’ll probably become 2 times a week. I don’t have to see the doctor again until Sept. 13th, but since PT will be where his office is, if I need to, I will be able to see him. All in all, he was very pleased and showed me on the x ray where there is new bone growth. He said that was a very good sign. I felt really good after the appointment. Barb & I went to a celebratory lunch at Cafe Borgia. I actually seem to be recovering from this ordeal. Yay! Now I need a nap!

Excellent news, LJ. Pleased for you.
Did we have dinner at Cafe Borgia on one of my visits to you?

I can't believe the mental anguish you're putting doc through. The dread I felt when I was headed towards guess #5 without any clue what the word might be caused way more apprehension and distress than I thought possible. I shouldn't let fear of failure worry me so much. Wordle 1,090 5/6* ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ 🟨🟨⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨🟩⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
