Well, that was fun. Waiting for the golf to start, the Indiana Fever game was on. It was the first time I've been able to watch Clark (Mark's famous daughter I presume) play a whole game. And the Fever won handily.

Watching the Open, rooting for Rory, who hasn't won a major in 10 years but still smacks the crap out of the ball and putts well, too. Can't get on the DeChambeau bandwagon -- he just seems to be too much of a showboat. Shaping up to be an exciting finish. A can't wrap my head around DeChambeau's stroke. So much movement.

Jan and her family are members of our church.

That's how you win a big one.

That's how you win a big one. Or how Rory lost the big one with blowing two short putts.

Well done, Bryson. That was a fantastic long bunker shot...those of you who play golf know how tough that shot is. This guy is good for the game.

Me and Bryson are both Cobra Boys! And we both play the "One Length" model. Mine don't hit the ball as far as his do, though. I think I'll have them checked out by the Cobra rep next time he is at King's Walk here in town.
Rory is a gentleman and a credit to the game, but I was pulling for Bryson. And not just because the resale value of my clubs just went up like a rocket. I like players that use the entire golf course. I mean, it's all there for reason, take advantage of it. Why limit yourself to those boring fairways when there is whole wild wooly world to explore!

I started out not a Bryson fan but my God he earned that win. Some unbelievable shots. I was disappointed at the fans yelling USA USA when Rory was trying to putt.

I wish they would have tossed those loudmouths. Taz and Toss! Civility is worth a few casualties.

Finshed the day strong. Youngest son cooked up a beautiful steak dinner, a green salad and red wine. Just what I requested. Oldest son and grandson got the crud, so we will celebrate another day.
My dog was sniffing through a tall weed patch at the dog park and came out with a crazy sneezing fit. Did you know that it is near impossible to see down a dog's nose, even with a good flashlight? I didn't see anything, as far as I could see. Gave her a couple Benadryl and she has not been sneezing much since.
Going to look at a house in near Oregon City tomorrow morning, then it is off to spend the night in Lincoln City with a buddy for a little salmon fishing outing on the Siletz River Tuesday morning.

The England team beat the Serbian team 1-0 in their first game of the Euro '24 footie tournament. Bit of a shaky start. Family and friends gathered, drank beer and swore merrily and frequently at the TV with great gusto.

Beware foxtail. Crazy expensive to get those little buggers removed from the nose of our Schnauzer 20 years ago. And, of course, it sucks for the dog. healthtopics.vetmed.ucdavis.edu/health-topics/foxtails

I recollect may parents paying the vet a princely sum to remove them from our spaniel's ear. Thanks for letting me know.
