Only been kicked out of one bar: I was with my paraplegic friend/office mate and three of his buddies from his paraplegic wheelchair basketball team, celebrating my friend's 60th birthday. He had rented a limo. I was the only AB (able bodied) guy in the group.
We had been in the front row at all of the 4 strip clubs we visited. At our 5th strip club (hey, I did not make the itinerary), my buddy touched the shoe of one of the dancers as she dangled it above his head. That was enough of an excuse for the bouncer to bounce us.
A memorable evening. Aside from seeing interesting sights, I became adept at folding, loading, unloading and unfolding a variety of wheelchairs.

Life is too short for a bad mouse. I had been struggling with my computer. I changed the batteries in my mouse, then tried two back up mice (mouses?). All had problems. So I broke down and had Amazon send me a new, corded $7.99 mouse. Oh my, computer life is so much better!

A bachelor evening. It is about time for my self serenade/concert. Unlike many of you, at any particular point in time, I have an extremely limited repertoire, and it requires various tunings. I play many of these tunes hoping to get them clean enough to record.
- Standard tuning on the Goodall OM: Bach's "Bouree," Albert Harris' "Waltz," and Josh Turner's version of "Blues Win the Game." - Dropped D on the Goodall OM: Josh Turner's version of Bruce Cockburn's "King Kong Goes to Tallahassee." - CGCGCE tuning on the 12 string Samick: Leo Kottke's "Busteed Bicycle" and maybe Ed Gerhad's "5 to 99" but I will likely play this one on the little 6 string Farida instead. - DGDGBD on the Gibson J-45: Kottke's version of "Arms of Mary,' and Gerhard's "5 to 99."
If I have playing energy left, I will head over to "activemelody.com" and try to learn some electric guitar stuff on my Squier Strat.

A memorable evening. Aside from seeing interesting sights, I became adept at folding, loading, unloading and unfolding a variety of wheelchairs. I have only had one evening of being kicked out of any locations, but unfortunately it was four. The first was a restaurant owned by some of the "Afternoon Delight" singers. Apparently my boss, co-worker and I were too loud. A decision was needed: call it a night or go downtown? Downtown won. Bar #2 had scantily-clad women, one of which my boss apparently touched. I did dissuade the bouncer and manager/owner from breaking my boss's arm, on the condition that we leave immediately. We went across the street to a similar club, where we were ejected at the door as the place we just left called over to let them know we were coming. We went to another nearby bar and were ejected after I managed to foul the bathroom with what remained of dinner. At some point I lost my cell phone. And picked up a bottle of dessert wine. I nearly ended up divorced; that would wait another 10 years.

Hot tip: When picking a Costco rotisserie chicken, pull the skin off in sheets and place in a hot skillet. It will render the schmaltz and leave the skin as crisp as a potato chip. And super yummy. Wendy's in the kitchen preparing chicken spaghetti (truly a redneck dish) for tonight's birthday celebration with daughter Tiffany and son, um grandson Micah (it's really complicated...and an amazing story). My mom went to Smith. She finished at KU, not sure why she left Smith though a relative once told me she thought Kathleen was kicked out. Wouldn't surprise me. I also attended KU, for a total of seven years. Well, I sat out one semester after wasting two years in engineering (with a heavy minor in drinking), and another semester was spent in an internship (for which I also had to drop out of school). I was so lucky that the four semesters I wasted were at less than $1000 a semester (under $700, even). I was able to make enough in the summers and during the drop-out periods to pay for the rest of school - that and scholarships I managed to earn back. howard lee, I have a feeling your daughter will have a more straightforward learning experience. She also seems to have an idea of what she wants to do, which is something I lacked when I first attended.
