Good morning. We'll have another very hot day. It looks like the temperatures won't start to drop until Sunday. I'll head for the mountain preserve again to start things off. May your day be a good one.
I have some doubts about my new starting word in Wordle.

Morning! Off to ACME Rentals to get a post hole auger. Project "Deck for the Front of the House" starts today. I hope Wile E. Coyote doesn't have it checked out yet. Are you getting a hand one, or retrieving your tractor from the farm? It's clear now, but they keep saying showers and storms all day. We shall see. I'm off to Cedar Rapids to work with a kid. |

Morning! Off to ACME Rentals to get a post hole auger. Project "Deck for the Front of the House" starts today. Be careful if you get a hand held, gas powered auger. I was using one once and the auger hit a big root. The auger stopped, but then the top assembly, motor, handles etc started turning. I couldn't let go fast enough as it ripped the handles out of my hands and hit me. The top, engine, etc, made several revolutions before stopping. |

Good morning.
66F-83F cloudy.
Dinner at Outback Steakhouse last night before see the new Despicable Me 4. Outback was okay, the movie was quite fun as expected. Lots of well behaved kids because smart parents did as we did and had a good dinner before the show and didn't supercharge them with sugar.
Me Darling Wife is making breakfast sammies and then I head down to the shop and she will go to a dental appointment. Later I will have to go pickup meds and vanilla ice cream to go with the nice gift of fresh picked raspberries we got yesterday.

We are finally cooling down to almost normal hot - 94F predicted. Feeling logy today.
A difficult Wordle. I have been trying a new start word every day. My suspicious mind has me considering whether the Wordle word choosing lady avoids words that reward the most popular start words.

YESSS! I accomplished this. The file cabinet drawer is tidier, more organized, and the photos are separated in folders by group: mine and my father's family, mother's relatives, friends, friends' art photos—I even found a horoscope some astrologer cast for me in 1979, when I was visiting friends in Santa Cruz. I may get around to reading it sometime.
It's hot as blazes outside, and humid, to boot. I was just downstairs in our lobby, and one of my older neighbors (she has got a few years on me and a bad knee) was headed out to the pitch and putt course. I was flabbergasted but not disgruntled. Her Grace is also out (for the first time in a few days) vintage clothing shopping with a friend. I'm always interested in what she brings home from these excursions, because she has exquisite taste and is also bargain-conscious.
She just got home. Says it's hot hot hot outside.

Well, I started the day by failing at Wordle. Too many words with a aunt ending.
But, the day got better. Received a letter from The Toll Roads agency saying they finally figured out we sold the car and all charges and fines were cancelled. And I got a call from Kaiser retirement services saying they figured out their mistake with my Medicare reembursement and would be paying it after all. They initially denied it because they didn’t read the entire letter we got from Social Security admin detailing last years award. This is the first time we’ve had any problems like these, and hopefully it’s the last.

Started the day with an hour twenty of PT. Then, hurting everywhere but in my teeth, I headed to a dental appointment. Problem of not hurting in my teeth was short lived. Came home to this on the front porch, but too tired to explore it. Maybe later or tomorrow. I did strum it. Sounds quite nice and I like the looks. Slept for an hour.  |

Watched the Tour stage in the Massif Central. Really difficult route. Impressive show by Vingegaard catching Pogagcar and narrowly out sprinting him for the win. They’ll be the two to duke it out for the overall as expected. Lots of drama ahead as always
