97% humidity out there. It looks like liquid air. A neighbor helped(actually did 95%) clear the tree branches that came down in the driveway yesterday. I am not healed enough to do it alone, so help was greatly appreciated. The rest of the tree will probably have to be removed, but not today. Lots of people still have no power. NIPSCO, our gas & electric company, says getting people back online will be a multi-day event. People we know had their power restored at 9:30 last night. They were lucky. PT at 10:00. Coffee now. Breakfast in 30 minutes.

Tried a sleep aid, ZzzzQuil. I slept, but talk about a hangover! Not again. I feel so weak I don't think I could squeeze toothpaste...

Good morning! Feeling fresh after a shower and about to make coffee; waiting for Her Grace to rise so I can make coffee for two. Of course, if she is not awake soon, it will be coffee for one now, coffee for another later.
Nothing heavy on the agenda today, just a quick grocery run for some essentials and a walk down to the avenue to purchase frozen animal-flesh pellets for the dog's meals, as well as a stop at the local Paper Source for some blank greeting cards. I still send notes to people via the USPS. Handwritten. It's a rapidly disappearing tradition.
Today is the anniversary of the birth of actor and guitar player James Francis Cagney, Jr.
Born: July 17, 1899, in NYC, New York, USA
One more day of heat wave alert here. Stay cool, friends.

Good morning. I'm getting ready to take Abbie the labrador to the vet for her annual checkup and shots. Claire is busy all day with a friend of hers who is moving here and is down to do some house hunting. One of Claire's favorite activities, so I suspect I'll be on my own for the next few days.
I've got guitars to play, bikes to ride and after the vet visit a lawn mowing to contemplate. We'll see if I do it today or put it off. Probably put it off for another day or two...........
Have good one folks.

Good morning.
59F-77F sunny.
Looks like it will be a nice day to be out and about so that's what we'll do. I will spend time in the shop until DaWife is ready for a dental appointment, a short one. Then off to Sam's Club that we didn't do the other day and depending on time maybe a nice lunch somewhere.

Nothing out of the ordinary going on here.
I hope all of you with storm issues are back to normal soon!

Good morning. It’s cool and clear here. We plan to take a little hike at Walnut Canyon. It’s full of Sinagua ruins. This afternoon we will probably get a thunderstorm. Stay well.
Wordle in four.

Scarfing down a Supermom's egg/cheese/sausage/muffin sammy from Speedway, a guilty pleasure, chased by their house blend coffee. All for five bucks!

Eric and I have our gig tomorrow night. So my goal today is to run through all 3 hours of music one last time today.
Temps are hot, hot, hot. No rain anytime soon.

Back home from a mosquito infested blackberry patch where I was picking berries this morning. I forgot the bug spray so I just had to suffer. I picked about half a gallon berries that will become wild blackberry syrup at a later date.
I'll go pick again in a couple days, it's a good year for berries (and mosquitoes) with all our rain.

Paleo, It makes me itch to even think about putting up with so many skeeters.
A slow day at the home office this morning. I have stopped drinking coffee. The caffeine was making my so trembly I could not print legibly. I might have to shop for a decent decaf.
Babysitting this p.m.

This morning’s hike reminded me that I’m not 20 anymore. It wasn’t that tough except that there’s a 200 foot elevation gain at the very end. I’m tuckered out.

Just back from fly me to the moon. Real good flick, with a spoiler. We didn’t fake the Apollo ride to the moon.

And I’d have to say any film featuring Scarlett Johansson and rocket blast offs is by a definition a must see.
