Good morning. Today I'll go into the office to use the scanner. I haven't been there in several years. Otherwise I'll take care of miscellaneous to-dos. Among other things, I need to come up with a day-by-day plan for our upcoming trip to Oregon. We won't necessarily follow the plan but I find it helpful to have one.
Be of good cheer.

Cool, rainy day. It’s not supposed to get out of the 60s today. Coffee is better in cool weather. It’s raining, we had 2 inches yesterday, and I am watching mowers on the golf course. I wouldn’t think it was the best mowing conditions, but I guess it’s do it when you can.

Good morning. We're under a hurricane watch so today's a storm prep day. I've been anxious about this years hurricane season, we'll see how this one plays out.
I did a reduced workout yesterday and I feel good this morning so it looks like I'm past the abdominal strain.
Have a great day.

Howdy howdy.
Partly sunny and clouds rolling in from the west. Currently 61° with a predicted high of 69°.
About to brew some coffee and off to my primary care physician in the late morning. I haven't seen him for a long time—when I tried to make an appointment last may, his assistant told me he wasn't taking any more until September, because he would be undergoing knee replacement surgery. The guy is 82 years old! and keeps chugging along because he has cancer patients in the hospital. Amazing.
I am hoping to spend some quality time with a guitar when I return from the doctor.
Spinning on the box right now:
Have a pleasant day, all.

Good morning, all.
Another 90 degree day here, but probably the last one for the season.
The hurricane that Ken mentioned is forecast to give us at least a glancing blow after it makes landfall. In our case, that will mean mostly the threat of tornadoes and heavy rain, although they say we may get some tropical-storm force winds. We will see. If that things wobbles a little west of its current forecast, it could be bigger trouble.

I saw my PCP yesterday. I had to get some scrips updated (yes, they are still necessary) in order to get new refills. I would have liked to have had a physical, but when I called to schedule it back in August the earliest opening he had was December 30. So December 30 it is for the physical. He mentioned yesterday he would like to have gotten me in earlier, but he will only do a max of 5 physicals a day. I applauded his desire to not cram his schedule full. We get our hair cut at the same place (a two chair shop) so we see each other occasionally outside of his office hours.
I spent a chunk of Sunday volunteering with my son at a local wild animal rescue. When I first met him he told me he wanted to work with animals; 13 years later he is still locked on to that path. Because he's under 18 he has to have an adult with him (gov't regulations). Sunday was my first time out there, and it was a lot of fun. I got to give a trio of bald eagles a shower. Lots of raptors, but animals of all shapes and sizes, too.

No music practice today, so I'll spend some quality time in the barn. Cleaning and rearranging is coming along nicely.
I do need to make a grocery store run, probably late afternoon. I should also stop and check out the location where Phil and I will be playing music on Saturday evening.

Morning!
Off to band practice. Then walk the dog. Then head up to the farm with dog and mow. Looks to be a perfect September day.

The fishing trip turned out to be just a long boat ride. No fish, no crab. But pn our way into Lincoln City we saw a billboard announcing that "The Mavericks" were playing at the local casino. I had not heard o the band before, but my friend is a fan, so we went to the show. Wow, what a band and a great show. If You get a chance, go.
Don, they are going to be playing in Bend soon. You should get tickets.

What are those things? Sweet or savory? I'm going to take a wild guess and postulate that they are some kind of doughnut.
